I'm getting on in age now so Telly Talk Veteran seems fitting.
I can relate. Time passes so quickly and I'd hazard a guess many of us on this site are Gen X and Boomers.
For what it's worth, the first thing that comes to mind for me with your new title is your status as someone who's been on the site (in its various incarnations) since the earliest days.
If the demand was there, I would do it, I just fear there would be too few participants to make it interesting.
Sadly, I think you may be right. Even looking back at just a few years ago when you tested the waters for a revival, several of the people who participated in
that thread have since dropped off the radar. I suppose that might be another reflection of Telly Talkers' ages, where circumstances change and priorities change to match. We seem to be ticking over nicely, but it's very quiet these days. Perhaps we can hope either for one of the soaps to trend in some way or for the discussion forum to come back in vogue through nostalgia in the same way iPods apparently have.
I did fancy doing a World Cup of Soap Deaths/Exits though or maybe step out of the soap genre and do a World Cup of TV Sitcoms. If it happens, stand by for a request to change the descriptor back!
I'll definitely be up for participating and for switching the descriptor back, so here's hoping.
