Jane smoked where as Angela detested the habit.

There is a saying that "Good fiction is inspired by real life but it doesn't imitate it." It certainly did not apply to Jane Wyman smoking cigarettes, while her Falcon Crest character depised the habit. Somehow I could never have visualised Angela with a cigarette in hand.
