Has Jennilee ever done any interviews rewarding her time on Dallas?
I’d be interested to hear her thoughts on her time and how her character was treated.
At the end of season 9 she was blown up, only to be brought back, hideously underused and then killed off again off screen. Anybody ever heard anything about how she felt about this?

I think that most actors are thankful to have a role, especially on a top rated show, whether they like the story or not,

Yes but it would be interesting to hear from her herself.

Linda Gray for instance didn’t want Sue Ellen to be a drunk any more.
Patrick Duffy was bored of playing the nice guy
Victoria Principal objected to such terminology Pam was meant to say in the script about Kit
Charlene Tilton said the writers never knew what to do with Lucy
Barbara Bel Geddes wanted Howard Keel to go to the producers to give them more to do

Need I go on?

Jennilee played a very divisive character. Was killed off and then brought back and killed off again. Out of every surviving cast member her’s is the story I’d like to hear about the most.

How she felt about her character becoming strong in the dream season and then diluted to Nothing the following year.

Did she always know the plan was to kill Jamie? Because from an outside point of view the minute Jamie got a share of Ewing Oil it was obvious the end game was her death and then Cliff inheriting it.

so yes I’m sure like most actors she was grateful for the work but I’m also sure she had an opinion

Yes, an interview would be interesting

I would like to hear from her regarding her experience with auditioning for the role, who she screen tested with, how she viewed the character, and how she choose to play the role.

Plus, she would have thoughts on how the character was written.. and also thoughts on being killed off twice (did she want to leave at the end of the 1985 to 1986 season? Did she agree to come back when it was decided that the season was a dream? Etc).

Jenilee did give an interview to Barbara Curran for the latter´s 25th anniversary book. These are a few things I can remember of that:
- She auditioned for the role of Mandy too, that initially was going to be a blonde hooker. That plan changed when they found Ms. Shelton, whose character just became a dark-haired homewrecker (this is Deborah´s words, not mine or Sarah's!).
- She enjoyed working with Ken Kercheval and Larry Hagman very much, especially in her first season. Her favorite scene with Larry was the verbal duel at dinner time when J.R. tries to discredit her.
- She wishes Dack Rambo hadn´t played Jamie´s brother because she couldn´t have love scenes with him!
- Quite obviously, she was brought back to kill her again.

In general, Jenilee absolutely loved her time in the show and was very happy to have been part of it for 2 years and a half. As we all remember, she was present at the Reunion Show that was held in Hollywood not long ago.
