Jordan Lee: the biggest sourpuss in Dallas

since he usually seemed level -headed about business
Good job he was level headed in business, he certainly wasn't otherwise; he had a wife with two names Sarah and Evelyn and was daft enough to get involved with Kristin probably believing she really loved him.

Of all the cartel members, I liked Jordan Lee he best; he had the perfect look and swagger for that role. His character, however, was assassinated almost as bad as some of the main cast members. He went from telling off J.R., and even Jock to a lesser degree, over Lesley Stewart's interference in the strip-mining proposal to frequently crawling back to do business with J.R. after vowing that he and the cartel had been hoodwinked for the last time. Finally, his involvement in the Sheila Foley debacle made him look like a complete buffoon, right up to the fateful walk outside that led to his demise.

Eh, "poor" Jordan got what he deserved for his involvement in what led to April's death. As Cliff once said, "You live with vipers, you become one."
Oh come on, be a little more compassionate. Without Jordan, maybe April would still be alive when TNT Dallas was launched. Can you imagine a worse reboot? I can. One with the April skank.

Evelyn was his doggy.
No she wasn't! (Ha ha)

In paternity suit Jordan spoke of his wife Sarah who was at home pregnant, then much later at an oil barons ball Miss Ellie said hello to Evelyn who was with Jordan.

Maybe none of them was his wife, who knows? What became of Sarah Lee's baby? What became of Sarah and Evelyn? That sourpuss Jordan had a dark side to him. Reckon he was capable of anything.

I can think of four options.

1. Jordan and Sarah divorced and he married Evelyn later

2. Evelyn and Sarah are the same person and maybe she started using her middle name instead

3. The writers completely forgot what they initially called her and figured we wouldn’t notice

4. Those options are all wrong and so am I

I go with this one, they didn't have a clue we'd be discussing it on a world wide forum 40 odd years later or how clever some of us fans are.
I would go with that as the best option myself. It was such an insignificant character that nobody bothered going back and looking up her name. No one could even remember her name so let’s just give her a new one and move on. Who’s gonna know?

Poor Jordan being bashed, but nobody talks about old Andy Bradley (who also slept with Kristin, by the way, at least it´s hinted in one of the episodes), gone-too-soon Wade Luce, or that no-face Seth Stone, who probably was absorbed by Mistress of Evil Marilee in one of their nights of passion, a la Bilquis (just google it...).

My favorite Jordan moment: Cliff calls him for advice re Gold Canyon.
His quick answer: "No loans!" :re: :re: :re:

somewhere in a parallel universe there was a show called DALLAS starring Don Starr as oil baron Jordan Richard “JR” Lee and centering on his tumultuous relationship with his long-suffering alcoholic former beauty queen wife Sarah Evelyn.

(it’s been rumored that JR Lee’s business partner and occasional rival, the dynamic Andy Bradley, would have been the breakout star character ala JR Ewing in this universe’s DALLAS)
