Am I the only one who could see Mary Tyler Moore on it? Perhaps as Karen's older sister or aunt.

Michele Lee once described herself as "a Mary Tyler Moore type."
It's their shared Aries Rising (not the right-next-door "Pisces Rising" that some charts give Mary -- those changeable birth time issues get tricky).
But laymen see it. And sometimes see it in themselves.
Plus, KNOTS was the only nighttime soap consistently good enough for Mary.

You will recall that Donna Mills had to fight to be cast as homewrecker Abby since she'd always played goody-goody victim types....so this would be a similar situation.

Not to be mean but I feel there is too much alike about Mary Tyler Moore and Michele Lee for their characters not to have a relation. Perhaps Claudia was Karen's sister or aunt. I have a half sister 21 years older. Me and her have a three day difference in our birthday. She is Feb 17 and I am Feb 20. We are so alike it is out there. I am referring to the Aries thing above. Michele exudes Mary.

Well, you and your sister are both (Sun in) Aquarius. (Although you are on the Pisces cusp). But Rising sign is based on birth time, and can be very physical and attitudinal -- such that "normal" people often see it (but don't know what it is).
And Michele Lee saw it.
Yes, MTM's KNOTS character would have to be related to Karen.

Well, I was born at 6:02pm according to my birth certificate. I am not certain what time she was. I was born in Munster, Indiana and she was born in the next town over Hammond. That is where the Christmas Story movies were based in.
