On the subject of Flamingo Road, I posted a variation on the below previously but the different taglines on this one made me laugh - “The Street Paved with Deceit” and “where passions come first and decency last”.View attachment 53168
TV Guide Flamingo Road premiere ad from Jan. 3-9, 1981 Louisiana Edition; channels here are KALB Channel 5 in Alexandria (now triple-affiliated to NBC, CBS and The CW Plus), WDSU Channel 6 in New Orleans, KPLC Channel 7 in Lake Charles (now dual-affiliated to NBC and The CW Plus), and WRBT Channel 33 in Baton Rouge (that one is now WVLA)

I'm guessing this must've been for October 26th, 1994 (5x08 Things That Go Bang in the Night where Dylan's drug problem escalates and 1x15 Clash of the Super Vixens).
The one thing that I’ve noticed when trawling for these ads is that FOX was very consistent in advertising their soaps in TV Guide each week. Almost every week I’ve seen, there’s been ads for 90210, Melrose, Models Inc and Party of Five.I'm guessing this must've been for October 26th, 1994 (5x08 Things That Go Bang in the Night where Dylan's drug problem escalates and 1x15 Clash of the Super Vixens).
Added to that, Dynasty had ended its run one week prior on May 11, so it was a rough couple of weeks for hardcore primetime soap fans in the US.When Sue Ellen left Dallas on British TV, we'd just watched Abby reunite Val with the twins, so we had four unseen full seasons of Donna Mills still to enjoy.
Even though I logically understand the original air dates in their home country, seeing these events promoted together really brings home the impact of these departures. Abby and Sue Ellen leaving their respective series within a day of one another (and, for all I know, a key member of the FC cast) would feel like a huge blow to viewers.
