I know it'll never happen, but if they ever did do an actual sequel series to the original DYNASTY, Joan could still play Alexis as a Dowager Countess type: she just sits there and roasts everyone.![]()

I don't really see what's so brave about the bare shoulders; they look fine.As for Joan's Cannes Film dress, the bare shoulders is....brave....but apart from that it's an exquisite design.
Yes. I know. I was there. I *wanted* to like it. And I quit once "Fallexis" appeared onscreen. After nuDALLAS, there was talk of a nuDYNASTY -- Evans and Beacham both talked about it, circa 2013, andsaid they'd do it.
But the executives, in their endless and unerring wisdom, prevailed and decided a comic remake with a different cast would hit that reboot sweet spot, and so CW's2017 show made the airwaves, the lowest-rated primetime show for its five-year run.
And all was well in the magic kingdom. Forever.

I believe, was there as a product of how he had it with Alexis, where you constantly fight the love you say you want and seek.
I once had an acting teacher talk to us about that subject: she seemed to firmly believe, "it's all about having sex!" Nobody in the class seemed to agree with her.Gore Vidal once said: People don't want love -- or even sex; they want control over others.

That *was* an interesting dynamic for the main trio, with Blake unlearning his old ways just so he could keep Krystle; and it makes me wonder how things would have gone had the show not ended. Would Blake have found a way to completely cut ties with Alexis so he could finally have peace with Krystle?Blake and Alexis were obviously both jerks. And she maintained her relationship with him forever by harrassing him, barging into his house at all hours uninvited. and dragging him into court over this-and-that for the rest of their lives. (i.e., "... because that's the passion between us!"
Healthy? No. But at least Blake learned, albeit gradually, to find a higher-quality partner (Krystle) and then figure out a way to stop running her off.
