the irony of the whole thing is that one of Donna’s favorite things was to have Ray dress in lederhosen (and chaps) and yodel in bed and they broke up before he moved to Switzerland

"Ray's Alps" had plenty of spin-off material. Initially, Ray wants to build his own mountain cabin and, in true Hutch McKinney fashion, discovers a body that turns out to be a female Ötzi. Jenna, however, is unlucky, as she has to go to a specialized clinic after a skiing accident and there she happens to meet Pam (Margaret Michaels, recently introduced on Dallas), who is accompanied by Katherine to spend the last months of her life there. Jenna discovers that Pam's terminal diagnosis was faked by Katherine to ensure that Pam never returns to Bobby. Before Jenna can tell Pam the truth, she is overpowered by Katherine, while Ray encounters a familiar face: Donna shows up with Margaret because her marriage had failed and she wants Ray back. Meanwhile, Charlie is also surprised when Randy shows up, as he could not live without her.
