There's a quote that appears to be incomplete. It read: “We would have seen Fallon and Liam get married, which we may still see next season.”. It should've read “We would have seen Fallon and Liam get married, with Fallon acting as her own wedding singer, which we may still see next season.”.

This reboot is a waste of space...yet it does really well on Netflix...and that's its saving grace. Does anyone know if Netflix will wait until the full season is first aired on The CW before screening it on their streaming service?

Yes. So far, all I know is that Netflix will wait till the airing is done on the CW. Like they did for season 3.

But I was thinking... Maybe the writers have changed their writing pattern this year. There is 22 episode as far as I know. With season 3, they had a break after episode 8.

Maybe this year they will split the season structure in 2 : the CW airs 11 episodes weekly, then they have a break. Netflix will stream the 11 episodes as "season 4 - part 1", then the CW airs the last 11 episodes weekly.

I know that Netflix prefers short seasons (like 8 to 13 episodes). This way, Nu Dynasty would reach their streaming standards, and fans won't have to wait months and months to get new episodes on Netflix.

After watching the video on that other platform I noted a few comments asking about Steven. Funny how viewers still have a hankering for Steven to return in some format but the hierarchy don't.

A lot of fans want Steven to come back. I do. I think he was he was a part of what made the relations between some characters more organic. He was the reason why Sam could stay in this family without feeling forced. Steven was the link between Alexis and Fallon. His character was the last moral compass of the show. Oh, well, I forgot that the writers of Nu Dynasty hate moral compasses.

Anyway, even if I enjoy the show as a "dumb pleasure" (I can't say "guilty pleasure"), the writing is bad. They should watch season 4 & 5 of Knots Landing and take some lessons. Knots is a very old night time soap, but the writing is so much better. Or they could watch Yellowstone, off they are allergic to the past. Or other great show. Or at least they should watch their own season 1 : it was not great, but it was much better.

I think that's possible to be honest - they're splitting up Riverdale this year, partly due to them wanting to air Kung Fu in-season, but also I assume it's better for the streaming audience to get it in two halves rather than one huge batch (which is where the young-skewing CW audience is nowadays).

Big Sky is also an example of a show that's going to have "mini" arcs; the first 9 episodes were just released on the Disney+/Star streaming service and it's returning next week with another seven episode arc. Dick Wolf also talked about that Law & Order: Organized Crimes (aka the Stabler spin-off) will have three separate eight episode arcs if it's renewed for season 2 - that way the streaming audience get relatively short arcs to binge on, while the network gets a full 24 episode season (8+8+8).

I read today that half way through the TV run they will start it on Netflix.

I'm sure the first two seasons were on Netflix after each episode was on the CW. That makes more sense, especially as Netflix is the only reason it's even on.

I know some people don't like it but I totally love it. I think it's so much fun, it's insane.

Actually, I enjoy the show too, and I wouldn't mind the comedy at all, if the show was written in a better way.
I mean, season 1, since Alexis arrival was pretty great. It had comedian business, betrayal, drama, twist...

Unfortunately, The CW made the worst decisions : firing Nathalie Kelly, then James McKay,...
The show was also more balanced then. It was always about Fallon, but not as much as later seasons. Now they could even rename the show Fallon & her accessories*

* the accessories being Blake, Cristal, Alexis and every other characters...
