After a break of two seasons another shadowy mafia like organisation entered San Francisco and the Tuscany Valley. Did you enjoy the storyline of the 13 or should the powers that be have not bothered, considering the premature axing of the cartel?

For me 'The Thirteen' aided in making season 7 somehow feel like you're still watching FALCON CREST, unlike mundane season 8 and wacky yet macabre season 9. They crossed swords with a lot of the characters as they tried to take over; caused the stock market to tumble, recruited and conditioned/programmed Eric (in a scene worthy of the conclusion to THE COLBYS) and of course voted on their every move in a bizzare way by the breaking of pencils. Rosemont & co. were a throwback to the cartel glory days, in the everything but the kitchen sink 7th year.

Roscoe Lee Browne who played Rosemont (The Thirteen's almighty one).

The shadowy 13 have just tried to kill Lance. He is now hanging from a windowsill, after they tried to run him down. He performed a mid air move typical of martial arts, of which his trainer was Chao-Li Chi. Kathryn Anderson is in the 13. However Lance does not know this, until the grave scene; (a scene from season 7, 1987 – ‘88):

Kathryn: “Are you all alright?”

Lance: “Hanging in there!”
