Interesting that the writers have been very careful not to refer to her as "Dominique" on screen. Often, soaps feel nervous about having characters who have similar (or the same) name on canvas at the same time, and we already have "Monique" around. They might give her a different name altogether, even though we'll know who she's based on.

Well, she was originally referred to as Monique (not on the show to be fair, but in descriptions - they never state her name in the pilot), but she's Monica now. I assume they changed it because they wanted to bring Dominique on at a later date.

My guess that the reason that she's referred to as Millie (Cox/Colby) is because she went on to become a famous singer and the characters on Dynasty simply does not know that she's now "Dominique Deveraux". I think it's entirely possible that we'll see a semi-famous R&B singer in the role. What's Jody Watley up to these days?
