The old regional ITV idents and logos

I'm curious which TV show comes to mind for you first when looking at each ident...

I'll run through them one at a time below...

The logo and music at the .37 mark are familiar but nothing springs to mind for me in terms of TV shows. It does make me think "daytime" though.​

Same story there. Except this doesn't even seem familiar.​

Nothing for this one either. I have to give it points for the abundance of bombast.​

This is very familiar. I think I saw this one a lot, but again I have no specific TV show association. I'll probably kick myself when I think of it.​

It has to be Corrie. doesn't it? Especially the one at 40 seconds.​

The one at 9 seconds makes me think weekday evenings at about 7pm. Peter Bowles sitcoms and Emmerdale Farm at my gran's house.​

Harlech (HTV Cymru Wales and HTV West)

HTV was my local region for many years, so I've probably seen this more than most. No specific big TV series association though other than perhaps local news variants. And possibly Sons And Daughters.​

Westcountry (Westward/TSW/Carlton)

Again, nothing specific. Although that Carlton logo makes me think of the Carry On Camping DVD.​

LWT was an incredible tv factory in the seventies and eighties producing hit show after hit show.

Thames - watching reruns of old sitcoms with my granny

UTV - UTV was our ITV region. While most of their homegrown productions were news or lifestyle programmes, I do associate lots with their idents. UTV Live, Julian the onscreen continuity legend, security alerts being announced in ad breaks during the Troubles, very basic ads for local businesses including "it's a big shopping centre in Ballymena hey", that haunting " Cats In The Cradle" ad encouraging people to report suspected paramilitary activity in the 90's.

Central and Southern I'd now associate with Crossroads and Together but that's only from watching them on YouTube rather than when they originally aired.

This was my region. Their output was pretty minimal but I do remember Mr and Mrs being filmed here.
