I heard so much good about the med show that I finally watched the first episode.

And I got sucked in. I can see why hospital staff says this show is realistic. The characters barely have time to eat or enjoy a coffee break. And patients pile up. The frustration of the people waiting for hours and hours in the waiting room because they are not ill enough feels spot on.

I've now seen 11 episodes. Binge watching is absolutely the way to go with this show since 1 episode = 1 hour of the shift.

I'm interested in The Pitt, but haven't had a chance to watch it yet. As far as I know, it's kind of like ER meets 24, without the private lives of the medical staff that I loved watching on ER. Or do viewers get a glimpse into the staff's personal lives?

Here's an interesting article about The Pitt:

I think the series is airing at the right time on the right streaming service; as a network show, it probably wouldn't get the same acclaim at awards ceremonies. These days, network dramas can try as hard as they want—Matlock, for example—but if you're lucky enough to get an acting nomination, that's about it.
