The re-casting of Christopher

Wow, did Victoria stick her finger in an electrical socket before filming that scene?
she figured that since Bobby was blind she’d have to really do something dramatic with her hair to get him to notice. Christopher seems mildly embarrassed by this, as young thespian Eric masterfully conveys.

I'm not sure I noticed the difference at the time. Joshua Harris seems to have been substantially older when he took over. I guess I must have just put it down to that.

And actually I thought she really looked she could have been Bobby's daughter which added some gravitas to the story line that she may have been his.
Jenna had already reluctantly admitted to Pam and Bobby back in 1978 that Bobby wasn't Charlie's father when Pam called her bluff, so the writers attempting years later to convince us that Bobby and Pam would somehow magically forget that admission was completely ridiculous.

unfortunately we were meant to forget that there was once a Jenna with personality ..

It's not the only time the audience have been expected to just forget a storyline.
Or maybe Pam and Bobby weren't convinced of Jenna's admission first time round especially from a completely different Jenna :D

We were already supposed to have forgotten it once, when they played out the whole thing again in 1984.

I'm currently watching Season 8 and he's really coming on leaps and bounds as a great little actor. Is it during the dream season he gets recast, as I'm currently planning on skipping that and going straight to season 10?
This is what I did on my rewatch.

I didn't even plan on watching the series, just an episode. My favorite episode as a kid was Dove Hunt from season 3. Watched that for a trip down memory lane and got hooked. Kept watching, skipped the dream season, and hit the brick wall after wrapping up season 10.

This week I finished season 1 and am currently on season 2.

Had I known I was going to get into Dallas this year, I would've started from the beginning.

Yes, he’s recast during the dream season. I don’t like to skip it though. I’ve learned to appreciate it for what it was. I view it as kind of an alternative Dallas universe where we get to see everyone and everything in a different way. It’s nowhere near being my favorite season but I can enjoy parts of it for what it is.

For me, when it comes to the “Dallas” moppets, less is more. I’m rewatching 84-85 and just finished an episode called “Charlie,” where my least favorite Dallas child decides to run away because she found out Naldo is her father (again). I’m thinking back to the previous season, where we never would have gotten a terrible episode such as this one.

I greatly prefer it when the kids are at school, off camera.

Yeah Joshua Harris is first introduced in the dream season when Pam breaks down in tears that his Daddy's dead and it's all her fault. :(

Probably my favorite Christopher scene was when he told Bobby that "if mommy/Pam doesn't want us we don't need her." Or something like that.
I think my favorite one was when he tried target practice with John Ross in season 10 and ended up shooting out a window instead. I don’t know why but that scene always cracks me up.

Always wondered how many times Theresa must’ve told that story to people she knew.

Target practice? With John Ross as the target? That scene, of course, was a parallel to "WSJR?" -- Kristin's son shoots at JR's son.

At least Kristin's son had the decency to cry -- if not terribly convincingly.
