Something random I realized: every single member of the immediate Carrington family has gone through a recast:
Most recently, the two Mrs. Carrington have each been recast (a little bit of a stretch in Cristal's case, as she was not technically recast, just replaced with a different character; but both are essentially the same and based off of Krystle, so we'll just call it a recast).
Back on the original series, all four of the Carrington children were all recast (as much as we'd all like to ignore the Reunion, it still happened, and Gordon Thomson got replaced).
But going back even further, you realize that Blake was the very first character to be recast: he was originally going to be played by George Peppard, who did film a few scenes before being given the pink slip. Enter John Forsythe.
Somehow it all makes the recent events regarding Nicollette Sheridan's departure kinda poetic. In a weird, ironic sort of way.
