He didn't say one word. Is he sick? Has start of alzheimers or dimentia? Or just not the talkative type? He kept leaning in, trying to make out the words they were saying to one another and looking around a lot. Moved his mouth a few times but nothing came out. For him to be there, he must still be okay, health-wise. But it seems like he's showing the signs of aging.

He reminds me a bit of my dad -- he's not sick or senile, he's just old and pretty deaf, and especially doesn't hear well in crowded places where there's lots of different sounds going on at once. It's a struggle.

That's a good question. I was wondering this about other shows like Knots Landing

Dallas was different but the Knots characters are owned by Jacobs right? That's why only Gary and Val could appear in new Dallas
