Oh, absolutely. I didn't so much mind the Charlene Tilton episode, but the episodes where JR turned up made me grit my teeth during his scenes. (The irony in the few episodes of Dallas where Joan and Ted turned up is that I'd watch their scenes in rapt attention, but was largely indifferent to the rest. I loved Knots, and liked Dynasty and Falcon Crest, but I never really got into Dallas)
I thought it was just me! Idk why I could never get into Dallas as much as the other 3. Maybe someday I will.

You mean to tell me that J.R. talking about how much he loved his cookbooks didn’t do anything for you?

I’m hurt!

More pain!

I fear this confession might finish you off, but in all my Knots-loving years I've seen practically none of Dallas. I only watched the pilot episode as a favor to our beloved moderatrix emirita Sarah a few years ago. All I know about the series comes from eavesdropping on conversations here. There I said it.

When Knots hit France at last in 1988 the show aired on a daily basis. By spring Michael was about 11. I was 18. When autumn came he was about 16. I still was 18. I must confess he made me horny. He used to be the fancy porn star of my teenage wank**g session... Fantasizing about somebody who was just a child six months earlier was a bit weird... But I couldn't help it...

There, I said it.

I used to think that "Knots" was the best soap of all. When I came to watch it all, I realized it´s like the others: it has ups and downs, (a few) perfect seasons, and forgettable latter years. Nobody´s (absolutely) perfect! There, I said it.

The first half of season 13 was bad but not as bad as the worst of season 12. I’d rather sit through Tidal Energy than Jason’s abuse or Valene’s brain virus.

The season 6 finale is incredible, but the use of slow motion really brings it down a notch.

I like Jean Hackney and have zero issues with Ben’s story line - aside from the fact that they never revisited it and gave us closure

Karen going to visit the family of that one kid who died should never have happened and as good as Michele Lee’s performance was, it was by far Karen’s most selfish moment and made me lose just about all respect for the character.

Season 14 might be in the top five seasons the entire show and definitely the best of the non-Abby seasons.

If “The Three Sisters” did not exist, Season 3 would feel less like a fever dream and probably rank higher among fans.

I know she was loved for her looks and singing, but Lisa Hartman was as wooden as an L.A. palmtree. Playing both Ciji and Cathy. Funnily enough, I only liked her songs as Ciji...

There, I said it.

Ms. Hartman rehearsing for one scene of confrontation with
Valene. She misunderstood it as "vaseline".
