If NuDynasty wants to be a spectacle, then Tori is the best choice. I want that Guilty Pleasure to be guiltier.
Because the alternative, a compelling drama, doesn't seem to be an option.

Oh, I thought it was real. I looked at news on google and saw nothing!

For anyone to play Alexis from the long-running nighttime soaps...I would put her first on the list from any of the cast of 90210. Melrose Place I would put Marcia Cross. Eva Longoria and Marcia would tie from Desperate Housewives. I don't think we will get a Dallas/Dynasty/Falcon Crest/Knots Landing star to play Alexis.

On the one hand, I know it would be a train wreck of the greatest magnitude. However, I could imagine with her well-publicized financial woes, they could likely hire her cheaply. In fact, she'd probably agree to it as long as they let her keep the clothes and take home all the leftovers from the craft services table.

I'm currently catching up on back episodes of Married With Children. It occurs to me that Christina Applegate might be a fun Alexis. Right age, good acting range, and probably looking for roles to make people realize "Kelly Bundy" was just one role she can play well. I'd like to see her be a meanie!

Isn't Kate Walsh busy with the second season of Netflix's 13 Reasons Why, though? Plus, she's played the ex-wife who shows up in the very last scene of S1 on Grey's Anatomy already, and let's not forget Grant Show played her brother on Private Practice. That would make it a little awkward to watch to me, just like Melinda Clarke, who I absolutely love, would take some adjusting due to the fact that her character on The OC married Alan Dale's, so it would feel like Alexis used to fool around with Joseph to me. XD

As far as Tori Spelling is concerned, I am currently watching Beverly Hills, 90210 on DVD (just started S7) and I am far more intrigued by her inability to find a hair color/make up combo that works for her than by what she has the nerve to call acting. And again with the previous roles thing, it would just feel like Donna Martin had two kids with Jake Hanson to me. It was hard enough to adjust to Brian Cunningham/David Silver making out with Victoria Broyard/Kimberly Shaw on Desperate Housewives! XD
