Generally, I would say to go with te actors' signs -- it's more accurate than the cliched descriptions always offered by "stereotypic" astrology. (ie, JR is definitely a
Virgo, not a Scorpio).

Not that there aren't good Virgos; there are. There is good and evil in all signs. But the "bad" form of Virgo are, for lack of a better term, bottom-feeders.

Well, not everyone has a glorified view of JR. The presence of all these pro-active Virgos gave DALLAS its biblical quality. Especially once Virgoian Katzman had the cleverness to give so much creative leeway to Paulsen (not a Virgo).

I love that scene in Season 3 (per DVD count) when JR's car rolls up the back of Southfork and all four actors who get out are Sun in Virgo/Moon in Aquarius (plus, three out of four Rising signs we correctly guessed way back then, although the birthtime data wasn't available for many years).
