Interesting turn of events. Cullum survived. But because Marco died, no one will know that he stabbed him. And Jason has taken the blame for shooting Cullum. Britt will keep her promise to Jason for sure now. She needs the medication. Cullum, Pascal and Sidwell will guard it better now.

Valentin can likely arrange for Jason to escape, but Jason will be away from PC for months.

Will anyone tell Dante what happened or will he find out later, when it's time for Jason's return?

How will Lucas react if he finds out that he saved Marco's murderer the same time when Marco died? Tough one! Will it be straight to Brad to numb the pain for a while?

How will Sidwell target Sonny? Does he really think that Sonny killed Natalia and Marco? Cullum better hope Sidwell doesn't learn the truth.

I don't see Cullum getting a chance to recover. Between Brennan, Sidwell, Pascal, and other offscreen co-conspirators there are a lot of people who will want Cullum out of the picture, and he's a sitting duck in the recovery room. I'm particularly receptive to the idea of Pascal finishing him off but framing Lucas for the crime since Pascal's plan with the meds was to get Lucas out of the picture whereas Marco was killed instead. I could see Brennan having Cullum killed to bury evidence of yet another rogue agent (and hopefully end this cold-fusion project), or he could emerge as a hero by employing 'fake' WSB agents to show up and take Jason away to a safe location until they can gather the info to prove Cullum was a double agent. Brennan would likely do this for his precious Carly, especially if it helps make up for the whole "luring Joss into the WSB" thing. Heck, even Britt might be tempted to pull Cullum's plug, given what he's been doing to her.

Poor Marco. At least he went out in a blaze of glory. I couldn't help but notice dead Marco breathing while Lucas was emoting all over him, though. ;)

One bit of realism was how poor, put-upon Dante ended up with two black eyes from Jason's head-butt. In each successive scene after the head-butt, the make-up team had his eyes getting more and more racoon-like. The actress playing Justine really nailed the reaction to seeing Dante's eyes in the PCPD. Every actor involved in this past few days has been excellent.

Love such details! Instead of not having any sign of having been beaten, which is a pet peeve of mine regarding how violence is portrayed on film and in series.

I think they put a lot more thought/effort/planning into these episodes so they can submit them for the Daytime Emmys later this year. The clever way they transitioned between scenes (editing tricks, etc.) in one episode was not something they do very often (if at all). There were certainly more individual actors in the episodes than we typically see, more remote work and a good cross-section of action, romance, and tragedy. Best of all (in my view, anyway) was a great big dose of hospital activity, something often sorely lacking in a show called General Hospital.
