I love Brianna Brown! She was the most likeable supporting character in the first season of Devious Maids IMHO and I also liked her on Homeland. A good actress and an excellent choice to play Claudia. Consider me very pleased! :)

....am I the only one who thinks that, physically, she's more suited to play Krystle/Cristal?

However, from what I've seen in the comments about her, she sounds like she's more suited to play Claudia. So I'm good. :) Although I must admit, I was kind've hoping for a black woman to play Claudia... or an Asian woman. But oh well. I do hope they glam her down for the part, though. Maybe die her hair to a more brown color, because Claudia - at least *early* Claudia - always seemed like a pleasantly drab, earthy type, which really emphasized the difference between her and the other women on the show.

I just finished watching episode 6 and this gorgeous lady is the best actress on the show (as of this moment). And she plays a very interesting character. I've seen her on Homeland (still remember her raunchy sex scene and gruesome death on that show) and Devious Maids before. I really wanted her to hook up with Blake in that hot tub scene. And she looked incredible in those scenes with Sammy Jo when they glammed her up. Having a guest in that house makes things much more interesting.
