My recently bought set The Ultimate Ronnie Barker DVD Collection has added more complete series to my shelf:
It contains several series:
Series in Red I already owned and will be replaced by this set.
Series in Amber I'd previously owned and again they've been replaced by this set.
Series in Green I've never previously owned on DVD. I'm looking forward to watching them for the first time.
I've updated my list on page one to reflect the new additions.

I've not long purchased both these great shows.
As of this week, I've finally completed my CSI New York collection.
I had the first four seasons on DVD and got the S7 to S9 box set earlier this year. Finally got a box set of S4 to S6 to complete the set!

i need to do that myself i need to buy a NEW season 2 cause the last episode is f... up it was like that when it was new and i didn't take it back cause i didn't watch it right away and the time had passed well i have seasons 1-3 for NY
I only got back into CSI NY when I caught reruns on CBS Justice UK earlier this year. The only problem was that (a) they only seemed to have the rights to the first 2 seasons and (b) they were showing it in a morning slot which meant that they cut out a lot of the blood and gore.
CBS Drama are now showing it at 10pm Monday to Friday, and so far they seem to doing it uncut, but I don't know whether they'll run past S2 either.

why cut it ? unless they make a show like that for children why even cut it at all? sometimes i do not get censors if you want to hear something funny and this is true.
here in the states for years unless the show as on past i think 9:00 pm ? you could not say fart on tv i dunno why but you never did i dunno about now though. it makes absolutely no sense but it makes me think of and movie called Snuff (1976) it was Originally filmed in (1971) and it was about the Manson family and nobody could get it released cause i think cause it was so bad. so a guy named Michael Finlay and his wife Roberta bought it they cut the ending and filmed a scene that is clearly low budget and fake and it was the murder of a script girl who had nothing to do with the film at all. you never do actually see how the manson family film even ends cause they changed it to that stupid ass scene of some script girl getting killed.
the editing though is so poorly done a blind man could have done a better job i think. it kinda like the film Caligula (1980) that so poorly edited but the reason for that one was the producer a guy who had no experience in making movies let alone editing them locked himself in a room and did it himself so certain scenes that should clearly take place later film take place earlier. for example there's one that has Malcolm McDowall shaving his beard and saying i'm a man now and he's already clean shaven at the start of the film.
but for Snuff (1976) that's the year it was released on how it even got name i forget the Original title though what Michael Finlay did himself is he created a campaign and did ads and everything how offensive the film was he paid people i think to do this none of them had ever even seen the damn film at all and i doubt they ever did cause if they did do that i'd think they'd be laughing their ass off on how poorly of film they were doing a campaign about. and it actually worked it was a big hit.
Kevin Smith when Dogma (1999) was at a theater with a friend of his & there were people protesting his film and and he wondered if anyone would even know it was even him what he did was he created himself a sign and than went on tv and protested his own movie.
when asked if he was kevin smith he said no i'm not and gave his friends name in his place. but he says yeah i get that a lot check it out the footage is on you tube its' funny as hell. my point about posting all this is Censors the film Snuff (1976) is one of the video nasties that were around in the 80's in the i think UK? some of those you wonder did even watch any of those films at all before they were even rated? and when it comes to tv shows or movies on regular tv you often wonder who makes the decisions cause it's okay to do this or that, i forget which country it is you can't show any kind of violence on tv yet you can show this, in America there's a lot you can get away with on tv here but you can't show nudity unless it's like HBO for example. the movies do get edited here and what some do is the film scenes that will be shown in place of certain scenes the can't show such as when John Carpenter filmed those 3 scenes for tv in i want to say (1980). but you want a good laugh there's an Early CSI episode i forget which one it's the home show where you can see a bare breast of some woman on the table yet nobody said shit and still hasn't since than.
it was only in one episode i wonder if anyone even noticed it at all?

I already own these two boxsets. So that's the world of Dynasty complete with me buying The Colby's recently. 
@darkshadows38 it's a timing issue I think. In the UK and Ireland, there's the 9pm watershed. The assumption being that anybody watching TV after that time is old enough to be watching and all that's needed is maybe a warning voiceover before it airs.
If something was being shown in a morning slot, the assumption is that kids could be watching and therefore it would need to be cut.
It's stupid, I agree.
The worse situation is when a show that originally aired 60 minute episodes with no ad breaks is slotted into a 60 minutes slot which includes 10 to 15 minutes of ads and has to be trimmed accordingly.
That's what happened with The Doctor Blake Mysteries when it aired on Alibi. Granted, it was fun to watch to see just what they thought they could get away with cutting, but they should just have given it a longer time slot.
And to bring the subject back on topic, I do have the full set of The Doctor Blake Mysteries on DVD. I ended up buying Region 4 DVDs from Australia because I didn't want to wait for the Region 2 release. Luckily I was able to hack a DVD player to play multi region DVDs.

i'm a huge Doctor who fan and if you aren't look up that old crone Mary Whitehead i think her name was? saying Doctor who was too scary i'd love today to show that old bitch an episode with i forget what they are called but those scary ass Angels. it never once occurred to her that kids well most of them anyways love to be scared, i dunno how many times i hear stories from say the Friday the 13th films and you have a guy like Sean S. Cunningham say in some interview that fans said you gave me nightmares for weeks after i saw your films and he apologizes for that and the fan goes are you kidding? i F... loved it thank you i just pulled him out of thin air i can't remember if he ever told that story but i think the late and great Sid Haig has and he wasn't the only one. than you have plenty of doctor who fans who said i hid behind the couch and they laugh about it today and they loved it. weather it was a boy or girl that's what that old bitch didn't think of at all way back in the 70's.
and what's really funny is you can't show Nudity on a channel like ABC, NBC or CBS or any of the other channels that aren't ones like HBO or Starz! for example yet in the UK they show nudity on the tv all the time that just makes me laugh. yet i think it is in the UK where you can't show violence on tv but it's okay in America, look up what can and can't be shown on tv in the states it's very funny. there is one area in the world i i don't remember if it is the UK or not where it is illegal to show anything with Violence on tv so a movie like say Indiana Jones can't be shown on tv cause it portrays Violence. makes no sense to me either my friend
the CSI shows are realistic to a degree there's a lot of stuff they make up Science Wise and what makes me really laugh and i've said this for years is people say i hate CSI the science isn't real it's just fake i want real science but those morons don't think that if you create a show any show that has 100% Science and it's a crime show like CSI real life Criminals will than watch the shows and you will have more people get away with actual murder more and more and they were therefore taught by the show itself how to get away with murder. there is Real Science in the show but they also have fake stuff that is made up as well as they should ya know? TV more than once did an article about what's real and what is fake and they listed a few examples on what is real and what is fake. if you go back to older shows in the 60's and even going back to the 30's the movies a married couple never shared a bed at all it was always bunk beds it's like the MPAA said no married couples don't have a sex life it's really funny i think.

That happens to me, too. I've been having a lot of trouble with Dallas seasons 7 & 8 (the double-sided discs). I didn't think there was much point in buying them again since they'd likely have the same faults, so I've purchased them at YouTube. I hope season 9 plays okay because YouTube doesn't have it.
The boxes still look good on the shelf, though, so not a total loss.

i myself prefer physical things sure i've downloaded things but if i like it i buy it if it's not out of print not hard to find if you see how many dvd's and blurays/books, cd's i own you'd see i still do buy the physical medium

The complete set of You're Only Young Twice replaces the individual series sets I had previously. The other two are new to me. I'm not sure how comfortable a watch Love Thy Neighbour will be, but I'm hoping for at least some kind of time capsule.
