Okay so up next is a star who's been gone for 25 years but still remains popular...

Audrey Hepburn was a British actress, model, dancer and humanitarian. She was born on 4th May, 1929 in Brussels, Belgium. She was given the name Audrey Kathleen Ruston. Her mother was a Dutch noblewoman and her father was of British-Austrian descent. Her parents had both been married once before they married each other in 1925. Hepburn’s childhood was spent in Belgium, Netherlands and England. She had a privileged childhood and due to moving so much she learnt to speak five languages. When Hepburn was 9 years old her parents divorced after her father had abandoned his family. Hepburn remained estranged from her father until the 1960s.

Hepburn began her career in show business by taking ballet lessons in the Netherlands. Her movie debut was in the Dutch movie Dutch In Seven Lessons (1948). Later that year she moved back to England where she worked as a ballerina and actress in the West End. Her next career break came in 1951 when she was given the role of Gigi in a Broadway play. It made Hollywood discover her and she got her major career break with Roman Holiday (1953), a movie that she also won the Golden Globe, BAFTA and an Oscar for!

After that Hepburn skyrocket to stardom and played the leading lady in several movies as her career blossomed in the 1950s and 1960s. She also married actor Mel Ferrer in 1954. At the end of her life she worked as a goodwill ambassador for UNICEF.

Audrey Hepburn’s life was cut short by cancer and she died in Tolochenaz, Vaud, Switzerland on 20th January, 1993 at the age of 63. She is considered the third greatest female screen legend by the American Film Institute. All together Audrey Hepburn has made approximately 30 movies, but which one is your favorite?

Right I had forgotten Mel Ferrer was Harrison Paige on Dallas. I think of him more as Angela Channing's husband on Falcon Crest.

Oh and I get the message BF, Audrey Hepburn is not your favorite and you will pass on this round. It's okay we all have our favorites.

Yet some fans enjoy to join in on this game even when it's not their favorite actor or actress that are being listed. After all it's all about finding out which is "our favorite movie of that actor/director/genre etc" and I know that people like @Toni and myself who do love Audrey Hepburn (as well as Katharine Hepburn ) are eagerly awaiting the results of this round.

So I do hope that more people will join in on this round even if you have only seen one Audrey movie and she's not your favorite I'd still love for you to take part.

I've been listening to a fascinatingly detailed podcast series about Audrey Hepburn's life story. I've just reached Episode 5 and she's still only eleven! Her father was a Nazi sympathiser whom the British interned on the Isle of Man for the duration of WWII. Audrey spent most of the war in Belgium where her mother, a Dutch aristocrat made penniless by the Nazis, was obliged to clean other people's houses to provide for the family. Little Audrey herself had to conceal the fact that English was her first language for fear of incarceration, such was the anti-British feeling at the time.

I remember watching an old mini tv-series about her life starring Jennifer Love Hewitt like many years ago. But I think it picked up when Audrey Hepburn was already an adult.
