I'll probably have a closer look at the missing location while cross-referencing other shows. I have to search the "Knots Landing" forum if there's a similar location thread as I'm planning to revisit "Knots" sooner or later and will be happy to add missing locations there, too.

I have a bunch of other shows I'm cross-referencing for the re-use of props from "Falcon Crest" so I'll be busy...

I can’t believe so much time had passed since I was last here! Good luck on your quest and thank you for the contributions to this thread!

When @TJP uploaded the picture of Carter Mckay (George Kennedy) in the jail cell, did any of you immediately think of George Kennedy's most famous role as a prisoner in Cool Hand Luke?

It's amazing how fast time flies!
When watching the video that @garry uploaded above, it's funny to see the little gas station has now grown into a modern, multi-pump high volume gas station.
Next time you watch the original episode with Bobby and Pam, notice that the old gas station had a dirt parking lot that was mostly mud when they filmed it!

@johnmmil10 Do you have a way to get a message to them inviting them to check out this thread? I'm sure they would find it interesting.

I wanted to thank you for uploading those videos and share with you why I like coming on to this thread:

My job has me driving all over Texas. One thing I really enjoy throughout the day is driving past filming locations and thinking,
"Right there is the gas station where they filmed the opening scenes back in 1979."
"Right there is where Phyllis and Sly would have parked at the Renaissance Building."
"Here is a diner where the Dallas filming crew would have stopped to eat while filming at the Fort Worth Stock Yards."
And recently I was at a horse auction in the same building where they filmed Jock and Ray at the cattle auction. I even took the time to figure out which seats they were sitting in back in when they filmed the auction scene.

So thank you for the contributions you make to this thread. It really picks up my day!

They should name badge the seats as an interest for locals and tourists.
Good idea, Rove! They do have several pictures in the hallway of the filming that day and you can see which seats they were in.

And this is something I love about Dallas filming locations. @johnmmil10 , @garry , @TJP or any one of you can drive to the Fort Worth Stockyards, park wherever you want, and go inside. (And parking is free, since it is a weekday today).
You can then walk inside, look at the Dallas film day pictures, then sit in Jock and Ray's seats and take a selfie.
And nobody will stop you. They'll look at you funny, but they won't stop you.

You can almost imagine Jock and Ray coming along to attend a cattle auction.

Can you imagine the reaction of locals if they discovered an Aussie sitting in one of those chairs? Thanks for this tip. I'll keep this and this thread in mind if I ever have the chance to travel to Dallas. Of course Southfork Ranch will be on my number 1 place to visit along with other points of interest.

Rove, if you ever make it to the Dallas Fort Worth area, I'll personally buy you the biggest steak in Texas!

The final locations video featuring Season Three. Really good..

Thanks y'all (and thanks to Garry for sharing our videos!) We're so excited to find this group and honored that you approved of our Dallas Filming Locations video series. We're currently working on research for seasons 4-6. We'll probably be asking lots of questions in this forum as we proceed. We're still culling through all of your helpful information in this thread. Nice to meet everyone, Abby & Keith (AKA Our 80's Life on YouTube.)

I should book this couple if I ever visit Dallas. I mean for someone to spot the Cardinal Puff's coaster on the gas pump is amazing.

Aww, thanks Rove! I could not believe my luck spotting that coaster, eek! What a find! We forgot to mention it, but that restaurant (now called Ozona) was amazing! The food was delicious, and we loved the atmosphere on the patio. It was very close to the Airbnb where we stayed in Dallas, so we ended up going there again. What fun!

P.S. Let us know if you ever make plans to come to Dallas, sounds like a deal!
