I’ve never seen the original but I can’t think of a better voice than Vincent Price to allure people to see this back then. I definitely have to check this out now.

I've not heard of this film before, I need to see it as I love these Vincent Price films.House On Haunted Hill (1959)
My first time watching (though I must confess I've seen the below-average remake more than once). And I watched the colourised version, which is a little sacrilegious (but it was free, and beggars can't be choosers).
I loved it. Such fun, epecially Nora Screaming Nora who was forever dismissed as a hysterical woman. One line made me laugh out loud (and reminded me of this thread).
This seems to be the second Vincent Price horror you've watched recently, have you seen House of Wax? It's the film on which Carry On Screaming is based.

If it helps, it's currently free on Amazon Prime. That's how I watched it. It's only around an hour and fifteen minutes, so not too big a time commitment.
Well spotted Angela. The second popped up as a suggestion after watching the first. We'll have to see if any more come along.
That sounds right up my street! It's eluded me so far, but I am very curious about it so all being well I'll watch it one of these days.

I have never seen House Of Wax either. I did not realize that it is a remake of the 1933 film called Mystery Of The Wax Museum. I’m not really a fan of horror movies in general but I do have a soft spot for the classics so I will definitely watch this soon as well.

the house of wax (1953) is one of the best movies of all time it's also an early role of Charles Bronson as well. the director had one eye no joke and the film went it came out in (1953) was shot in 3-D so a guy with one eye made a 3-D film how cool is that? this film was also later remade again in (1973) with John Carradine and i believe Ray Milland as well called Terror in the Wax Museum that one i haven't seen but that one had a far lower budget and i read a review of it and if you look closely in that one apparently the wax figures move

It's definitely my favourite of the Vincent Price horror films (my favourite film of his is The Song of Bernadette which isn't a horror) because it's more than just a horror and it has a really good storyline. Vincent Price is really good and makes for quite a sympathetic character at times. The film has a nice balance between humour and horror and is not too gory but has enough to shock. I've only even seen it in 2D but I really would like to see it in 3D one day.

i've seen that one and it is a good one, my favorite horror isn't The house of wax (1953) it's (1961)'s The Pit and the Pendulum that's also my favorite Price film as well as well as my favorite Roger Corman film as well as my favorite Barbra Steele film as well. i also love The Abominable Dr. Phibes (1971) which is an utter masterpiece
the Tingler (1959) and there are so many more of his i love. some of them are horror and some of them non horror such as 'the Keys of the kingdom (1944) that's a damn good one and if i recall it's Gregory Peck's 1st film as well

i forgot to add the last film i watched was Bambi 2 (2006) on IMDB it's got a different title but on my dvd it's called Bambi 2 (2006) it's a pretty decent film actually and this one has a plot the 1st done really didn't. this is one sequel that is a film i'd say check it out 8/10

Batman and Robin (1949 movie serial)
This second serial moves a step closer to the formula we know and love with the introduction of a costumed villain called The Wizard replacing the World War II era Japanese saboteur of the first.
As far as I know The Wizard has never appeared in any other media.
Also featured is the character of photographer Vicki Vale, who wouldn't be seen onscreen again until the 1989 movie. I wonder why she was never seen in the 1966 TV series. A potential love interest for Bruce who was also trying to ferret out Batman's identity might have provided some nice comic moments, not to mention some competition for Catwoman.

I agree with you @Seaviewer that Vicki Vale would’ve been a nice addition to the 60s tv series. I always liked that she at least turned up in the 1989 movie as I was afraid she had been long forgotten in Batman history.

she's a good character back in the day when she was used more, she figured out who batman was more than once and than Bruce had to foil her plan on that and convince her otherwise. i watched a really crappy one called Petrified directed by Charles Band (2006) a really awful piece of crap that i say if you watch it drink lots of beer and have friends over to poke fun of it you will only enjoy it that way i think. i did none of that hence why i didn't enjoy it as if i had friends over and gotten drunk watching it with them

Watership Down (1978)
Another of those "classics" that I've never seen before.
Not as original as it's cracked up to be. It's really only a mashup of two genres that you wouldn't normally think of together - a gritty British war drama done with cute cartoon bunnies.

I just read up on Watership Down as I’ve actually never seen it. Apparently it was banned in certain schools and other countries for portraying animals as being equal to humans? Does anyone know the story behind this? Seems a little drastic to me. Is there more to this story?

i just got done watching one of the worst films i've EVER seen in my life, it was so bad that i think if you recorded paint dry and sat and watched it for 60 hrs that would make a more enjoyable film than this one i watched. the acting was so bad that to use a quote from an early Cinema Snob episode from i think the first 10 or 20 episodes that he ever did you need a support group to get over on how bad this film is. the sad thing is the idea isn't that bad of an idea in fact it's a pretty solid original idea.
Every-so-often, boys disappear from the Delta House, a Sorority suspected to be based on cannibalism. that's not a bad idea for a film but the acting by the entire cast is so bad that it was VERY painful to sit through this thing and it's not just the acting, Julia Strain whom i never got why people love her? she's not any kind of good actress at all and Brinke Stevens was awful in it too but to be fair she as a tiny bit not a lot but a tiny bit better than Julia Strain. there's a cat fight in it that a pre schooler could have directed better. women can fight they can be bad asses just like some guys can be but if ya really wanted them to do a fight scene use their fists it makes for a more enjoyable fight than a poorly done cat fight,
the film in question is called Delta Delta Die (2003) MFV it was apparently filmed at the same time as Bleed (2002) MFV which is just how i phrase made for video that one is just a copy of scream it's bad but this one is far worse. this is another Charles band movie, i bought this because it was a band movie as i'm a huge Charles band fan of his movies anyways not of the man himself & i got it for a couple bucks back like 2010 i think? so it took me 11 years to watch it and i wish i would have waited 35 more years to watch it that's how bad it is. people say Plan 9 (1956) is bad? no that movie is freaking Citizen freaking Kane (1941) compared to this one that film is Gosford Park (2001) compared to this film.
Do not watch unless you drink a keg with a group of friends and are both drunk and stoned at the same time that's the only way to enjoy this film. i don't normally rate a movie like this and this would be a first to be honest but i''d say -50/10

American Psycho (2000)
It's the best part of two decades since I last watched. It holds up well and the Eighties cultural references age like wine. If anything, I enjoyed it more than I did when it first came out. It's more shocking and funny than I remember, and the psychology and implications of duality are fascinating. The more I think about it, the less sure I am about what actually happened.

A Sixties double-bill in O'Dramavision today:
The Last Man On Earth (1964)
In which a disease that may be airborne affects the entire planet and people lock themselves away to avoid those affected while researchers work night and day to find a vaccine. The very idea!
Unfortunately, the version on Prime was colourised, which no doubt took away some of the noirish tone. Still, an absorbing film.
Then there was....

In which Robert Morley convinces Peggy Mount and Dandy Nichols to battle evil developers Harry H. Corbett and Jon Pertwee (who are about to tear down their street) by stealing information from waste paper baskets while cleaning offices. A terrific film and a very nice way to spend 85 minutes.

i liked the soundtrack if i remember but i haven't met anyone yet or talked to anyone yet online or off that thought it was terrible but i'm sure there are others out there
