John Ross sits in his study reading through financials when a knock comes at the door. "Come in."

Mateo walks into the room, closing the door behind him. "Kids are sleeping?"

"Yes. What is it?"

Mateo hands him a letter. One of my men confiscated this from Katherine Wentworth. she tri d to bribe some to mail it."

John Ross reads it. His face goes pale. He asks, Can you verify this?"

"Already in the process."

Lucy rocks Steven. He's fussy. Seems not to feel well. She says, "You're warm. Let's go see your daddy and take you to the doctors."

Chris meets with Pamela in her office, "You wanted to see me."

"Long Dia is back in business. He's got the fourth Mexican oil lease. He's renamed Wendell Oil and Gas Long Petroleum. Wendell Petroleum is defunct. I'm giving Liam a job with Lone Star, he'll head up the accounting on the Mexican oil project."

"Thank you. Emily will be very happy. Apparently her brother's staying in the house that their uncle bought from their father."

"You'll work with him on your budget. He's got set figure for construction of the rig but John Ross says you have other ideas."

"I do."

"Of course that'll cost more. So I'll need the two of you to work out the budget."

"Will do."

Emily looks over financials in her office when her brother comes in and says, "Take you to lunch?"

"Oh thank God yes. I'm sick of this stuff. Lucy has me handling more of the business of the foundation and it's driving me bonkers. How do you deal with financials all day?"

"It's just numbers."

"Boring as hell."

"So I'm getting the picture John Ross and Lucy just stay in the ranch all day."

"Pretty much."

"Most be nice."

"Most be."

The two walk out of the office.

At the elevator Emily asks, "So how's dad doing?"

"Last I h are he's working out a plea bargain. He's hoping to pay fines and then house arrest."

"Anyone heard from grandma?"

"Not a word. Uncle Andrew calls every few days. Aunt Ava is busy reinvesting what's left if Wendell Oil and Gas. She's created a real estate business to just buy and rent out properties, Wendell Partners."

Getting on the elevator Emily says, "Well good luck to her."

Long Dia meets with David in a jail conference room. "Looks like the Ewings have destroyed the Wendell's after all. Even your two children are working for them. And I heard that Ava's investments in real estate, she's took on three partners who's all quickly sold to Pamela Ewing and she wants the company renamed DFW Properties. So that's pretty much it for your father's legacy."

"You screwed my son out of the Mexican oil deal."

"I had to, to keep it alive."

"Working for yourself with Long Petroleum."

"Once I'm on my feet I'm going back at DreyAgra. I'm going to get what I came to Dallas for."

"So why are you here?"

"You can still prove useful in our partnership. Achieve has backed out. Grazneft is back in."

"The Mexican authorities have approved?"

"Yes. Sechin's not involved."

"Sechin's dead."

"You know this business better than anyone. I want you to consult."

"Bring me in as a partner."

"They won't allow it."

"I have a cousin who will front for me. He already does for a small South American company, Patiño Oil and Gas."

"Alright. Yau Tei is out of the equation. They're just providing financial support. They wanted to minimize their risk."

"All the better."

At the hospital Pamela comes rushing in. John Ross stands and holds his wife. Pamela says, "What's wrong with Steven?"

"They're running some tests."

"He just didn't feel well."

"That's all it is. Test are just to rule everything else out."

"I want to see him."

"Of course. Lucy's with him. I haven't left him alone. But you've got to control yourself. You don't want to worry him. She begins to cry in his arms. He pets her hair and says, "I know. But he's going my to be just fine. I promise."

At lunch at the Cattlenans Club Chris says, "I hear your on a project for Long Petroleum."

"I am."

"When are you going to stop working with enemies of my family."

"If I took off the table any potential customers because they were enemies of the Ewings, I would have many customers. But I asked you to lunch because I have something to tell you."

"Go ahead."

"I'm pregnant."

"With my baby?"

"Of course."

"No of course about it."

"Well it is."

"OK. You're having the child."

"Yes. My God Beau. This is our baby you're talking about. Your child."

"I'm sorry if you're offended, but I simply don't know you well enough to know what you're thinking. So what do you want out of me."

"To be a father."

"If the baby turns out to be mine, of course I will."

"You could seem happy."

"I'm waiting for the next shoe to drop."

"What?"

"What more do you want? Child support? How much are we talking to take care of the baby and you."

"Well you're a Ewing. How much do you think?"

"I think I'm done with this lunch. You let me know when you're ready for a paternity test and we'll talk some more." John Ross leaves.

Chris says to a pretty, young girl, "So what do you think?"

Looking around a high-rise condo she says, "I live it."

"Good. Then you can stay here and finish up your school in comfort. I'll be by to check on you from time to time." Caressing her face he says, "This arrangment suit you?"

"Very much."

"Good."

He leans down and kisses her.

Emily arrives home and says to the naked ranch hand in her bed, "Glad you were able to let yourself in."

Pamela holds her child tight to her chest trying not to cry. John Ross holds her. Lucy holds John Ross.

The doctor says, "We have many options. We'll sit down and out together a plan. He'll get the best care there is. For children ages one to fourteen with ALL the survival rate is eight-nine out of a hundred." He leaves them.

Pamela says, "It's all my fault."

"No Pamela it isn't."

"I had no business having children. Look at my family. All of My grandmothers children are mentally ill. And Digger had neurofibromatois."

"But you don't. And neither do our children. This is different. They don't know what causes it. But we'll fight this Pamela. No more work. This is our job. We'll take care of Steven and include Jack and Mitch."

"No. I don't want them to know."

"We're in this together. The five of us. No protecting them. They can handle this. We'll tackle this together."

"You're not alone," Lucy says. I sent a text to everyone. They're all on their way. My dad and Uncle Bobby and Uncke Ray didn't want to overwhelm you so they're staying put but said to keep them posted. They'll be here the second you need them. Afton wants to come but said she'll wait until you asked. Sue Ellen couldn't be stopped if you tried. As for Chris and Emily and Beau. They're downstairs. James and Amanda are coming. Mateo is contacting your friends John Ross. We're hear from you. Or we'll stand in the back waiting to be called. Just let us know."

Lucy goes to leave them alone. Pamela grabs her hand and pulls her to them. She cried holding Lucy. Lucy cries with her.

Emily rushes in the room. "Pamela." She joins Lucy in crying with her. "It's gonna be alright. It is. Lucy and I won't leave you."

Chris hugs John Ross. Neither cry but they hold each other tight.

Beau walks in next. John Ross grabs him and hugs him too.

Lucy tries to comfort Steven. "Look at these silly adults. You're going to be just fine." She rubs the side of his face.

Barbara brings in the three boys who run over to Steven fussing over him.

Ellis hugs John Ross.

Mateo comes in next and hugs John Ross.

I hope little Steven will be okay. But I'm not sure what's wrong with him...

I am also confused about the scene with the pregnancy. John Ross, Chris and Beau were all in the scene, who is pregnant and with who's baby?

Also I wonder if Chris and John Ross will regret having two Wendell's working with them at Ewing Oil as one can wonder where their loyalty lies...

Mateo approaches a young woman shoping on the streets of Milan. "Miss. Wentworth?"

"Yes. Hello. Do I know you?"

"No. I know your mother."

"My mother. Oh thank God. Where is she?"

"She's in a place just resting. I can take you there."

"Yes please. My mother's not very stable. Is she with my aunt? I have been able to get a hold of either one of them."

"Yes she is. And her brother."

"Uncle Cliff. They haven't talk as long as I've been a live."

"And Bobby Ewing."

"My father? But he's dead."

"He gets that a lot. But no, he's very much a live."

"We'll take me to them."

On a private plane Mateo says, "You're aware your mother has a mental illness."

"Yes. Her and Aunt Pam. I always figured it would be a trip to meet my Uncle Cliff as well. I'm assuming all three of them aren't very stable. But tell me about my father. My mother always said he'd died in a car accident. Hit and run driver."

"Bobby Ewing is very much alive, but I'm afraid he isn't your father."

"Some how I always thought that it was a story my mother made up. I'm surprised he actually exists."

"He does. He's your actual father's brother."

"Who's my father than?"

"JR Ewing. Once you learn about him, you'll know why your mother kept you away from him."

"Is JR with my mother?"

"No. He passed away a few years back."

"You have brothers though. And a sister."

"I do."

"John Ross Ewing by his wife Sue Ellen and Beau by his second wife Cally. Then there's James Beaumont. And Amanda Harwood."

"The American heiress?"

"Yes. You've heard of her?"

"Who hasn't. She like the richest woman in the world."

"Pretty close I guess."

"The papers were full of her law suit against the Wendell Brothers."

"That's her."

"Good for her. I'm go my to take a nape. Help yourself to anything. And thank you."

"Rebecca, I've known your brother my whole life. My aunt was his grandmothers maid. He's a good guy. You can bank on that."

"Thank you." Rebecca walks to a room in the back of the plane.

John Ross, Pamela and the three boys all sleep in chairs and in the sofa in the hospital room where Steven sleeps.

David hands Long Dia some papers. He takes them, looks them over and signs. "Done," David says taking the papers back. "Thank you.

"This gives me back the name Wendell and sets us up as fifty fifty partners. Keep in mind my name stays out of it. You're partnered with Patiño Oil and Gas."

"Of course. To need to get these legal issues behind you."

"Grazneft is on board to transport and refine whatever we can get them. They're looking at buying a Brazilian refinery. Yau Tei financing is in place. We're ready to go."

Long Dia holds out his hand and says, "Welcome back to the game."

Sorry I wrote it as ALL - that's Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia. I should have spelled it out. The family is going through hell but the journey will make them stronger.

I'm very sorry about the pregnancy scene. My wife is ill and I'm writing yo keep my mind busy and am leaving stuff out. Molly is pregnant with what she says is Beau's baby.

Both Wendell's ended up out of Ewing Oil - Liam was "put" with Lone Star on the finacing of the Mexican oil deal and Emily's with the foundation. Pamela is the best bet to kept an eye on him and Emily considers herself a Ewing through and through.

Thank you so much for your interest. I'm having fun with it.

OMG cancer, that sucks!
I didn't get it before.

So Katherine and JR had a daughter after all...lol
Looks like JR are having quite the number of illegimate children in this story.

Thank you for clarifying about the pregnancy.

I'm very sorry to hear that your wife is ill. I hope she will get better. :hugs:
Also if it will help keep your mind off things, feel free to to read my story as well. It's set in the 1990s so it's very different from yours but you might still like it as there's a lot of John Ross as a teenager.

Yes sort of a mid season cliff hanger.

I figure JR could have illigetimate children appearing for years.

She's got the flu but as a diabetic is causing her havoc. I should read it. Wonder what happened to John Ross as a teenager. :)

I'm glad your wife is not seriously ill, even if the flu can be bad enough when you also have another illness. I hope she will be back on her feet soon.

Yeah considering how much bed-hopping JR did on the show it's surprising that only James ever showed up!
So it does make sense for him to have more illegimate children.

If Dallas TNT had been picked up I had hoped his daughter would have been with Julie and had been older than John Ross though...
Not that I'm saying you should add that to this story as one daughter with Holly and one with Katherine is enough. ;)

Cool, I hope you will enjoy my story. :)

John Ross sits in his study when Pamela comes in. He looks up. "How's Steven?"

"He's sleeping."

John Ross rubs his face.

"You're not suppose to be working."

"I'm not but there's a million balls in play at a time. I've got to at least keep track of them. Please sit down Pamela."

She does. "This sounds ominous."

"Nothing you can't handle. My father had another child, one he wasn't aware of . . . with your Aunt Katherine."

"You're kidding me."

"Mateo's handling it. He took her to see her mother. She went back to Europe. He thinks she's waiting on us to invite her to South Fork. He did explained what we're dealing with. What do you think?" He slides a file over to her.

She picks it up. "I'll read this and let you know."

"Thank you. No wonder the Barnes Wentworth feud with the Ewings is over. We're just one family now."

"Speaking of such, what about the Wendell's?"

"David's operating Patiño Oil and Gas. He's a fifty fifty partner wit Long Petroleum in their Mexican oil lease."

"While being under house arrest?"

"You got it. Yau Tei will provide the funding from Hong Kong and Grazneft will buy the oil, ship it and they intend to refine it in South America."

"You're information is through."

"Best lesson my daddy ever taught me, the real battle is not to get deceived yourself."

"Our project's all set. The money between Lone Star and DelSol has been secured. Ewing Oil and CalcoHarwood will share the lease equally. Ewing Oil's construction division will build its first off shore oil rig and Calco will buy and ship everything we produce. Chris is working on increasing that production."

"No risks."

"I told him that. How close an eye you keeping in him."

"I can tell you his bathroom schedule and how often he sneezes."

"Good. We'll need to keep a very close eye on him."

John Ross hands her another file folder. "I don't like surprises darlin'."

Pamela looks over the pages of the report and then looks up with shock. "Jeremy's not his child? Does he know?"

"Read on."

She does and the asks, "Why wouldn't he say something?"

"Why would he nearly die trying to save a woman he cheats on every chance he gets? Read on about his tart he's got held up in a condo."

"What the hell."

"I had to let one of the ranch hands go. At least Chris's keeping this mess off South Fork."

"Should I speak to her?"

"Yea see what you can find out. Just don't push it or reveal too much of what you know."

"So who's the father?"

"That took some doing to find out."

"You're kidding."

"You tell me after you read that file."

She scans it for a name. "Lucas?"

"DNA test doesn't lie."

"And Chris knows."

"Find out about her feelings for him. I'll see what I can find out about Lucas. He's off traveling with Amy Anderson."

"And he doesn't know?"

"Doesn't appear so. I also just found out Milly Lee is carrying Beau's child."

"Are you sure it's his?"

"Not yet. I'm waiting for him to say something."

"I've got all I can take dealing with Steven without the rest of this family."

"Your only worry is Steven. I've got the rest."

"And me and Steven and your father and The Wendell's and Long Dia."

She gets up and goes over to him. Sitting in his lap she holds him close.

Whoa! I didn't see Lucas being the father of Emily's child coming. Maybe I should have.
Looking forward to find out what happens when Lucas finds out...

Nice update with John Ross & Pamela Rebecca. :)
I'm glad he told her about her new cousin/sister-in-law too.

John Ross and the four boys play in the attic playroom, a big room in the roof with lots of toys. Steven sits on the sofa bundled up, no hair. The boys bring him action figures.

Barbara walks into the room. "Your sister has arrived."

"I'll be right back boys." John Ross leaves the room and the au pair enters.

Down stairs in the entry John Ross meets Rebecca for the first time. He asks if he can get her anything. He tells her Chris is at work and so is Beau. They walk though the house, through the family room and out onto the patio.

Out by the pool he introduces her to Lucy and Pamela. They hug. Rebecca laughs. "Mateo gave me a lesson on the family tree. Your father and my mother are siblings. And," turning to Lucy, "you were married to her mother's uncle." Turning back to Pamela she says, "And our cousin Chris is John Ross's cousin too. A tad bit confusing I'll admit but not many players to recall."

Pamela says, "John Ross says you grew up in Switzerland."

"An only child, so I thought. I stoped by to see James on the way and I'm planning on seeing Amanda next week."

"That's good. She's a very nice person. I think you'll have a good time."

Beau holds a press conference in the lobby of the Ewing Oil Building. "I'm told that we should be able to average one hundred thousand barrels a day so times that by what ever price is simple math. In addition we'll get two hundred million cubic feet of gas. So we don't care what OPEC does. This is cost effective. We'll keep the price low as they try to push it high. That's what my family has fought for generations. Look at our record. We'd anger ever oil man around but our goal has always been to be competitive not to collude." He points a new reporter.

"Mr. Ewing, you mention work that your cousin is doing to increase that number. Are you talking ten percent more, fifty, a hundred, what?"

"Chris likes to say double it. But I don't know. His focus isn't on how much a day he can get, it's on his many totally. As I said I'm told there are estimated between three and fifteen billion barrels of oil down there. So double it to six to thirty billion. He just likes to say double a lot. We'll see."

"Mr. Ewing, safety is a concern. As your family is personally well aware. You're talking over eight thousand feet down in the most remote location. What are you plans regarding safety?"

"Excellent question. Thank you very much. The plans call for two large rescue boats that will be able to quickly remove fifty plus people. The living quarters will be blast-resistant. The platform will make extensive use of fire and gas detectors, ten times more than any other installations in the Gulf. Our helipads will accommodated three helicopters each able to carry 19 passengers. The safety of our employees comes first."

"And the safety of the environment."

"While my cousin moves forward with speed he is also the single most concerned person I know when it comes to the environment. We often joke he loves Mother Nature more than he lives any of his family. I can assure you when he speaks we all cringe. The costs he adds are staggering, but necessary. I can get you the details as soon as I have more specific information."

"Who will be manufacturing this floating platform?"

"We're waiting on the review of bids that were brought in. Ewing Oil is not in the marine construction business so that is being out sourced but the final drilling and safety, that is all in-house. That's what we do, Ewing Oil. CalcoHarwood will be consulting. We then hand off the crude to Calco and they're responsible from there. But from the ocean floor until that hand off is complete is Ewing Oil's responsibility."

Chris's lab team celebrates with rowdy enthusiasm, Chris yelling, "It held! It held! The computer simulations held!"

The Ewing women sit outside as the sun goes down. Rebecca says, "What a wonderful dinner. Thank you. Who cooked the duck?"

Lucy says, "Barbara. An old friend of mine. John Ross or Mateo brought those in last season. The two of them bring in all the meat we eat. They've got a thing about doing the dirty work themselves. They'll go fishing a few times a year too."

"I noticed Chris is a vegetarian."

Emily says, "That apparently started not long before we got married."

"Barbara's got a garden too. If she doesn't grow it, she's got a friend around here that does. We even get our bananas flown in once a week from a friend of hers in Belize so she's guaranteed no chemicals and no child labor." Lucy holds up her coffee cup. "She's got a friend in Turkey too. She must get in five or six boxes of supplies a week. But she's not just feeding us. She's feeding the ranch hands and their families. She's certainly in her element her."

"That's pretty impressive."

"Good for my boys too," Pamela says. "First thing I worried about was Stevens diet. But we just don't know what caused it. We've ruled out genetic factors. And environmental, well what could they be? We've looked into radon, jet fuel, paint. We can't figure it out. But what we do know, a healthy diet can't hurt."

"This is true."

Chris and Beau gather around a board room table that include Liam. Mateo walks in still dressed in jeans and a flannel and says, "Sorry I'm late. I'm filling in for John Ross in several places while he deals with family matters."

Chris speaks up, "Oh he'll no. This is Ewing Oil. There's no way you're filling in."

"John Ross is still the president of the company. I'm just his eyes and ears."

"We'll see about this." Chris takes out his phone and places a call.

The answer, "John Ross Ewing's answering service. May I help you?"

"What the hell. Yes. I want to speak to John Ross. Now!"

"I'm sorry. Is this Christopher Ewing?"

"Of course it is. Where the hell is my cousin."

"Mr. Ewing had set up an answering service to handle all of his phone calls, emails and texts."

"Well put me through to him."

"I'm sorry Mr. Ewing but the only people to go straight through are his wife, his children's au pair and Mateo Ramos. I can forward a message."

Chris hangs up and fails again. Lucy answers, "I assume you're calling to see if I support Mateo being there. I do. He's not filling in for John Ross he's just sitting in for him. Leave it be Chris. John Ross is dealing with his family. If we need to make a permanent change we'll discuss it later. Mateo has also filled in for Pamela at Lone Star. He's got a lot on his plate so try and help him out."

Chris hangs up and looks at Mateo. "For now."

Mateo says, "So first order of business is the Mexican oil deal. Ewing Oil develops it and uses it as test site for Chris's advances with the eventual goal of selling it to CalcoHarwood. Where are we in this."

"Sell it!" Chris rails.

"Not the technology the operation. But that's way down the road."

"I'm doing all this work to sell to someone else."

"Ewing Oil isn't the n the operations business anymore. The company sets it up, holds leases, holds technology pattens. It doesn't run a site long term. That's why they're heavily invested in CalcoHarwood. Liam the finances look great. I went over them on the way. Favorable terms indeed. Word is, hushed word that is, your father is behind Patiño's fifty fifty deal with Long Petroleum."

"I've heard as much."

"Your Aunt Ava is the name on books, well the AP Corporation of Bolivia is the name on the books but she's the face of AP. Your father and her sister have worked out some sort of arrangement which allows them to deal with Long Petroleum. You're ok in proceeding with us?"

"I moved out of my what's now my Uncles house. I'm fine. What ever my father is up to is probably to dangerous to deal with."

Ava meets with a Chinese official in Hong Kong. "So you see, your money in Mr. Long's hands."

"And by marrying you he stays in America. But you don't want him to stay."

"I just want what is mine. Long Petroleum is just the new name of Wendell Oil and Gas."

"I see. With my money in it?"

"Loans Yau Tei made that of course will be paid back."

"You'll make sure they're paid back."

"Exactly. You just bring him home and I'll handle the rest."

"And Grazneft with work with you, as I'm told no one can work with your brother as he's on house arrest."

"We've been in touch. We've worked out a deal to sell half the oil back to Mexico. The Russians will be happy with what ever they get for their new South American refinery."

"Be careful with them. They don't handle double crossing lightly."

"Oh I'm well aware. That's how we got rid of Dmitry Sechin. But, then again neither do you."

"No we don't."

Ava walks into the Wendell mansion and says, "Done. I'll inherit Long Petroleum and when your sentence is over we'll merge Long and Patiño an change the name back to Wendell Oil and Gas."

David turns around, "Then when the Ewing's experiments in the Gulf literally blow up in their face we'll move in to take their place and then with two major oil producers we'll be well on our way back to the perch they thought they could knock us off."

Uh-oh, sounds like the Wendells plan to blow up the new Ewing rig in the gulf. I have a feeling all that talk about environment and safety was a plantation for something coming further along...

It was funny when Mateo showed up at Ewing Oil and Chris got that damn answering service when he tried to call John Ross. lol
I don't blame him and PamBecca for putting their family first at this time.

It was nice to see Katherine's daughter meet her family too. They do have a complicated family tree that's for sure.

Maybe yes. Maybe no.

Yes family first. You n fact John Ross might get what the two prior captains of Ewing Oil never got. A life.

Complicated yes - but not so many people and branches. Lol

Long die arrives at the Hong Kong airport. Stepping down out of his private plan he is grabbed up and forced into a van.

Ava receives a letter from the Chinese consulate that her husband died in an accident in China and that his family are making the funeral arrangements per Chinese custom.

John Ross and Pamela sit in front of a doctor's desk as he walks in saying, "He's in full remission." The couple hug each other. "Well still be keeping a very close eye in him. But things look ok very positive."

Pamela begins to cry tears of relief into her husbands shoulder. Tears pool up in John Ross's eyes.

On the phone at South Fork Lucy says, "Yes Uncle Bobby, full remission. I can't tell you how difficult these months have been but the whole family pulled together. So I was thinking, time to celebrate and you're turning seventy."

Ava and Milly walk into the Wendell living room. "Done," his sister says looking at David. "Court papers are filled, death certificate and wedding certificate. I own Long Petroleum. I stopped by the office and changed the name to Wendell Oil and Gas. Milly her will be the new face of Patiño Oil and Gas. We're back in business."

David says, "Now what we have to do is wait. I have to wait out my house arrest and we have to get this deep oil rig up and running. But this time, time is on our side."

"And the arrangements for the Ewing the rig?"

"Everything's in place. When it explodes no one will be surprised, not with their track record." Looking at Milly he says, "I have another project for you. My son. We need him inside the Ewing project feeding us information. Right now the Ewings have him thinking otherwise. I need you to get into his pants and turn him around. And you better hurry before you start showing. Maybe thinking you're carrying his baby will help."

"I have no intentions of ever showing."

"What ever. Carrying a Ewing must be nauseating as it is. Why you didn't abort the little bastard is beyond me. You're a Lee for god shake."

The Ewings gather in the living room before dinner chatting away over cocktails. John Ross says, "I've got an announcement to make. Pamela and I have talked this over. On Monday she's going back to work, but I'm not."

"What are you going to be doing?" Chris asks.

"Running this ranch and raising our boys. I'll still be involved, but from a distance. I want you to continue your work at Ewing Oil with advanced technologies for drilling, but I'd also like to ask you to step up and run the company."

"You want me to be the President of Ewing Oil?"

"Yes. If Lucy's in agreement."

"Of course I am. About time this family worked together."

"And I'd like Beau to step up as Executive Vice President of Government and Public Relations. I know he's young but if he can take a lot of that off your plate you can continue to put technology first. I'd also like to create an Executive Vice President of Business Operations, again to help with more of the day to day. If you want the job?"

"Certainly."

With congratulations all around Chris picks up Emily and hugs her. "What do you think baby?"

"I think you're the biggest thing in Texas oil, just what I always expected from you."

That evening getting ready for bed Pamela says, "I increased Lone Stars shares in BPFA to fifteen percent and in Eastern Rail to fifteen as well. This gives us a play in both rail lines. And I want in on Canadian Atlantic. The deal is Canadian Atlantic becomes North American Railways, takes over BPFA and their western U.S. rail lines and Eastern Rail and they domination of rail traffic in the eastern U.S. Then we're going after Texas Southern for their rail lines in Mexico."

"Sounds like you've got a plan in place."

"We'll only hold about ten to fifteen percent of the combined business, but it'll give me seat on the board to control the largest rail next work in North America. And of course with more oil deals in Mexico and Canada, they'll be even more need for crude shipped by rail."

John Ross smiles. "Staying one step ahead of the game."

"Trying to. You're sure you can keep an eye on Chris?"

"Positive." John Ross smirks as he pushes her nightgown off her shoulders.

Milly rides in top of Liam in a hotel bed. There naked bodies sweating. His hands covering her breasts.

In the morning the Ewings have breakfast out by the pool. Pamela and John Ross help the kids eat. Beau quietly eats. Chris and Emily come up from the cottage positively beaming and talking about it being a beautiful day. Chris asked John Ross about his plans.

"The four boys and I are going on a picnic for lunch. I've got to meet with Mateo and Liam this morning."

"Why Liam?"

"I've got another project in mind once he's done setting up the finances for the Mexican oil lease."

"What's that?"

"Rebecca and Amanda have been talking. Rebecca wants to set up an on line store for European goods with physical stores in certain key markets. Amanda wants to invest. I said I would. So the three of us will put it and I need Liam to set up the business."

"What's he your errand boy?"

"No but he's a go to sort of person."

Later that morning in his study Mateo says "So the latest is Milly is running Patiño Oil and Gas with Ava running Wendell Oil and Gas."

"I want to know exactly what happened to Long Dia. One minute he's pulling off a deal for a fourth oil lease in Mexico and the next he's back in China, dead and Ava's his widow. Bull."

A knock at the door and John Ross says, "Yes."

Ellis peeks in, "Liam Wendell is here to see you."

"Send him in." John Ross and Mateo talk about getting information out of Liam before welcoming him. "I do want to tell you, you've done an excellent job with setting up the partnership and the financing for the Mexican oil lease."

"Thank you. I appreciate the opportunity."

"I hate to ask but you know about this fourth lease. I'm not trying to put you in the middle but you do know that Milly Lee is running Patiño Oil and Gas, which your aunt had been running and now your Aunt Ava is running Wendell Oil and Gas?"

"I'm not surprised. I'm sure my father's in direct contact with Milly."

"Do you have any contact with any of them?"

"Not really. I'm sure my father is the one who sent Milly over to charm me."

"What do you mean charm you."

"Get me in bed so I can cozy up with the family again."

"And?"

"I slept with but that's it really. I mean I'll hop into bed with her as often as she's willing but that won't change anything with my family. I'm not a Ewing but I'm also not interested in rejoining the family business when it's run the way they do."

"Thank you for being honest with me. Anyway I have a project I'd like you to Lu together for me and my sisters."

Chris meets with a guy in the park to discuss blowing up the Wendell oil rig.

John Ross notices Steven not feeling well as the other boys play on the picnic. He feels his forehead. He's burning up. He hurries the kids into the truck and races off.

Oh no I hope little Steven will be ok. I'm glad the cancer is in remission though.
Cute Pamela Rebecca & John Ross scene too.

Seems like Long Dias has been kidnapped.

Rebecca seems like a really nice person, considering who her parents are. In a way, it was sort of funny how Katherine told her that Bobby was her father! Anything to block out the JR thing, I guess.

Thank you. I figured it was fitting. Maybe she's a little too nice to be true?

Considering who her parents are I'd say that is probably right! I bet she'll show her true colors further ahead. ;)

Mateo says to an Asian man, "I want to know for sure, is Long Dia dead or not? If he's alive, I want him, and I want him to sign over Wendell Oil and Gas.

Pamela comes running into the hospital room and John. Ross explains it's just the flu. Steven reach up and calls for his "mommy."

The doctors want to start the second course of chemotherapy once he's better."

"No. He's been fine and in remission. We said we'd talk about it."

"They just want to make sure it stays in remission."

"But look at him. He's so sick. He's tired of being so sick."

"You know we have to."

"Please momma."

Pamela holds him tight crying.

Pamela sleeps in the bed with Steven, holding him, passed out together. John Ross lays on the sofa covered by the other kids, all three wearing medical masks. Mateo taps him on the shoulder. John Ross sneaks out from the kids and goes out into the hall.

Mateo says, "Chris is planning to blow up the Wendell oil rig forms soon as it's up and running or sooner."

"And Wendell is planning on blowing up our rig. What the hell. Can't these guys come up with anything new. OK. Keep me posted. And keep a lid on these two. If you've got this information, there could be contacts we don't know about."

"Mr. Ewing," a doctor says.

"Yes."

"How's Steven doing?"

"Sleeping."

"Good. He's a real fighter. It's not uncommon for him to pick something up. His immunity's suppressed. When he's better we'll continue the treatment. We want to bake sure he stays in remission."

"Thank you."

Long Dia walks into a board room with only one person sitting at the table, their back to them, looking out at the skyline of Hong Kong. He says, "You and your friends have wrestled control of Yau Tei. I'll sign over Wendell Oil and Gas to you in return to my share and for getting me out if China and away from people who are bent on seeing me dead. Should I say thank you?"

Rebecca turns around in the chair. "It wouldn't hurt."

Pamela closes the door to the boys room. Turning to face John Ross she says, "I should leave work too. There's no reason for me to go in everyday."

"Except you love your work. I didn't. I just spent years butting together my father's plan. Steven's fine. He's got some more treatments but he's getting healthier everyday. He's beat this." He hugs his wife.

South Fork fills with about a hundred of Bobby's closets friends and family. Lucy stands by the fire place and says to John Ross, while watching their uncle, "No one's asked about Pam but they all know."

"I heard a couple people ask about Ann."

"Really? Donna sent a gift. So'd your mother. Nice of them."

"I'm just glad your father and Uncle Ray came. Who's that guy though?" John Ross nods at a man well into his sixties.

"I don't know."

"You invited everyone."

"Yes but don't know all their faces."

John Ross asks, "A friend of Uncle Bobby's than?"

"I guess. Too bad Lucas didn't show. None of the cousin's, except for us and Beau. Oh and Rebecca. Nice of her to come back."

"Well the people who matter the most to Bobby are here."

"True."

Pamela sits and talks to Rebecca in the family room with several other woman gathered around. "I'm just glad he's in remission. Still every treatment must be terrifying."

"There are times I don't think I'm strong enough to survive this."

"I can only imagine."

"So I hear you're going into the import business. You just got back from East Asia ."

"Yes. Always something I wanted to do."

"I'm sure it'll be a great success. John Ross says it's almost all online."

"Yes. Just a dozen bricks a mortar stores and those will look bigger than they really are. They're really for window shopping and checking things out. A person would order everything on line for the most part. There'll be a restaurant for each store, but more like taste testing."

"Sounds very cost effective and tied in to current trends in shopping my for luxury goods."

"Prices will be high but we'll have layaway and low interest purchases and free shipping options. Just one set fee that says this is how much something costs. People seem to like that, being up front and straight about things."

"Wonderful. Those special items you can't get locally."

"That's the idea. I'm going to Central America after this to check with this banana farmer Barbara knows. We can ship them to your home like they're local. No pesticides. No hormones. Just bananas."

"That's cool."

Emily welcomes Liam and Milly into South Fork at the front door. Beau doesn't look too pleased. Emily is ecstatic to see her brother with Milly. "Look Chris. Milly Lee. We've known the Lee's forever. Good family. I hope you won't let my brother scare you off. Liam's really difficult to get along with. So Milly, what is it you do?"

"I'm the President of Patiño Oil and Gas."

"Oh. Well that makes sense. A lot of oil people here. You should have a good time."

John Ross says to Beau, "I see Milly came with Liam."

"Yea she gets around."

Rebecca gets out of bed and puts on her bath robe. Dia looks up at her laying in bed, his sculpted torso revealed. "Just remember it cost me a lot to get you out of China and it'll cost me far less to send you back."

"You're getting Wendell Oil and Gas out of it."

"And a lot more. Next time don't hesitate. I own you."

"You can have anything you want just get me that chemical company of Lone Star's."

Rebecca smiles. "All in due time."

A woman gets out of bed with Beau saying, "I've got to get home. My husbands already going to be suspicious."

"Tell him I said thank you."

Chris walks into his condo and grabs up his mistress, groping her body.
