I enjoyed Andy's bizarre dream / nightmare sequence at the beginning of last night's episode.

The way it was directed made it look like something out of Prisoner Cell block H.

I am struggling with Corrie right now. Nice acting from Michelle but sometimes a scene or a plot smells soap awards so let's go full blast with the tears. Sometimes silence works really well to display a sense of loss. Not saying she should be traumatised by the whole thing but sometimes it just doesn't ring true.

Really hate the whole Phelan plot as well, really badly done and verges on a 1 dimensional Walking Dead baddie instead of a character with flaws. So ott and at times ridiculous.

so let's go full blast

It's all the extra stuff they throw at Michelle which ruins it.

She hears Steve having drinks with Tim & Sally
She sees Leanne the moment she steps out of the taxi
She's looking out the window at the moment Steve hits Nick

Really hate the whole Phelan plot as well,

This is so typical of Corrie. They know Phelan was a hit with the viewers and so they milk the character for everything they can ultimately destroying anything they had originally.

It was great how he was tormenting Anna and the only one who saw through this was simple Michael. Now they have him tormenting Kevin, Andy, Steph and I'm sure there's someone else I missed.

I prefer the baddie of old like Alan what's his face and Hillman or Maya. All very different but worked because there was either a reality or comedic value to it which was fun. But Phelan is just so one dimension. Like Corrie's Micheal Myers.

It's all a bit weird and boring.

The reason I struggle with the Michelle plot is that it kind of reminds me of Sue Ellen in the drunk tank. All very high melodrama and I think grief is many things not just shouting and screaming.

It's certainly getting worse, which is a quite an achievement because I didn't think it possible. Once again the cops come into the Rovers to arrest Kev, based on the fact his keys were found in his workplace. Of course this makes him number suspect because it's absolutely absurd that anyone could be setting him up.

And as always the real criminal is sat two feet away watching it all unfold. Thank heavens they are written out of the show on Friday.

Daniel Barlow has been one of the best things to happen to Corrie in recent times and what do they do? Hook him up with one of the dullards - although to be fair, they do have a lot to choose from.

Loved how the garage was doing well and then conviently gets money problems to fit in with this storyline

Also love Daniel l, good addition, odd he is getting together with the blonde girl. Maybe she will be better away from a Ches

Hee hee I completely misread @Ome 's earlier post about Friday's ending and am thrilled my protruding teeth baddie is still with us.

Steph doesn't seem bothered about Andy not showing up :confuse: loved Sally and Tims tandem scenes :bl2::bl2:

Sorry, I hated Sally and Tim's tandem. Someone thought they'd better lighten up the episodes " Oh, let's put Sally and Tim on a tandem. That'll make everyone laugh"

I groaned. Sally and her snobbish ways?

As if.......

Everyone seems to think that Sally and Tim are the saviours of Corrie. That's why I apologized. I don't think they are. They make me squirm, especially on that tandem.

I love Sally & Time, far more than Sally & Kev, though I'm not too far in love with the characters that I see them as saviours for the show.

That's why I apologized.
You really shouldn't need to, we all have different opinions and that's what makes some of the discussions more interesting. It would be kinda boring if we were all saying the same thing.

I do get where you're coming from when you say you don't like them because it probably feels like everyone loves them and you don't see the appeal at all. I feel the same way about Sean, I get the impression the producers love Sean and yet I completely fail to see why this is what it is
