The government rarely represents the will of the people. If it did, there wouldn't be this constant power shift between Democrats and Republicans.

Televising an execution is barbaric, but if we're going to demean people for voting for Trump, then we might as well demean them for voting for any mainstream candidate. After all, both the Dems and Republicans are complicit in war and murder just like the Trump Administration. It's not like that was any less abhorrent just because it wasn't televised. The Obama Administration even had a kill list and targeted American citizens abroad. Was that the will of the people who voted for him, or were they duped into believing that they'd get a higher standard of living and diplomacy? The latter is certainly why I voted for him. Trump also vowed to end foreign wars and invest in American jobs, but like most politicians, he screwed over his supporters too. I believe most Americans do direct their ire at the people in charge, but it's counter-productive to direct it at the voters. That's because war, murder, and economic suffering are the modus operandi of the US government (among others.) That's why voting is futile. We just swap one blood thirsty ghoul for another.
