Emmerdale Episode Discussion

As with all the soaps, I enjoy a good stunt, but after it's finished, I tend to come away underwhelmed by it all.

When they kill characters in a stunt they lose some of the magic. Far too much is going on to give any character the sending-off it deserves. Given a choice when Isobel Steele quit the soap, I would have preferred her death to be part of the Sandra/Liv/Finn story.

So Will believes Kim now. I wish Paddy would find out about Chas and give her a good slapping.

The search for Samson lost all credibility when his phone moved from the field into the woods and later when his phone was found no one searched the immediate area.

I wasn’t expecting Al, to be killed off so quickly.

I would love a twist in the story see Chas go down for his murder instead of Cain.

Harriet was zapped off her perch by a Higher Power.
Liv was knocked off her perch by Mother Nature.
Al was pushed off his perch by the apple that fell way to close the tree that has assumed serpent form.

Now Amy, who turns out to be strangler looking Chloe's sister thinks to Kerry's fruitful womb, goes on the run with the petite murderer while Moira's nailing the glug glug.

Niaomi was acquitted while Saskia et al are convicted of assaulting Nicola.... that's the hand of Jah at work. Well, after all, Charles works for her.

The hand of Satan gonna eventually drop Nicola in Charles' bed! Nicoooooo...Jimmy will cry!

I like how they have written Kerry out of the show now Laura is on maternity leave.

Emmerdale has been streets ahead of Corrie in terms of writing and acting.

Is the village back in lockdown?

It's December and Laurel is having a coffee with Berniece - in the garden!

Later there is Gabby working on her laptop while having a coffee outside the Woolpack!

Vinny and Jimmy are playing cards outside on a tin drum!

And if that's mad, then what about Cathy and April - Getting the bus to go to school, only to get the bus back to the village to have lunch at the Woolpack OUTSIDE and then back on the bus to school!

Absolutely loved Emmerdale this week and how Paddy exposed Chad’s affair. Totally surprised and gripping. Also enjoying Arthur’s coming out story.

Shame that David is spoiling all the great drama this village has to offer. As for his Christmas grotto, how is he affording it? Is he no longer skint?

Chas is an angel, a fallen angel, but an angel no the less. The ham fisted oaf that she quite frankly has had more than is expected by Jah to suck up, was never deserving of Chas.

So Cain is bang up in nick with real bad boys that will have their armours ways with him, whether our Cain green lights the shower room romantic triste or not.

Moira's only thing to do is wash her hands of him once and for all.

Mackenze must be mad or something special to keep circling around strangler looking Chloe as everyone in everywhere knows that crossing Charity is potentially a life changing experience and not in a good way. Charity is a good egg and doesn't need all of Mackenze nonsense.

And as ever, Belle continues to be a treasure and the rightful head of the band of cutthroats that are the Dingles.

Vanessa's surprise sister pitched up out the blue one day. Tracy is something excellent.

Lucas' surprise sister was only the fruit of Dawn's boyfriend and pimp and her bezzie mate at the knocking shop.

Nate's existence was unknown to our Cain. The surprise was that Nate done defiled his stepmother when he pitched up from nowhere.

Amy's surprise sister is Chloe. Kerry continues in her greasy ways as expected.

Now Cain's surprise brother rocks up out of thin air on Christmas day. Caleb made himself known to Chas his surprise sister as Faith's mortal remains are spread all over the Dale's of Yorkshire.

They serve up some big magic in Emmerdale.

The flash back ep was very good, the casting for Cain and Chas spot on.
I couldn't believe how close to Cain that young actor was, not just his mannerisms, but even his voice sounded like Cain's. I did think for a bride moment if Jeff Hordley had spoken the words and the actor had mimed.

I've totally loved all the fallout with Chas, and I've loved the introduction of Celeb, but I cringe when I see the characters pretending to sing along to the Christmas hits and dance away. I know it's all about creating that Christmas vibe and I'm no grinch, but always struggle when the soaps do this.

The flashback episode was terrific the casting the writing and the acting superb. Must say I think Caleb has been a great addition to the cast and the spin off from Als death has worked a treat. Paddy has been brilliant Dominic Brunt has excelled. As for Jeff Hordley and Natalie j Robb they really are different class.
