Marlon means well but isn't giving Paddy is space he's asked for.
As for Alex, I'm not sure if his intentions with the Vicar's daughter are holy or sinful. After all he did wrong by Dawn.... the whole junkie hooker thing. That said, Dawn is the best soap opera street walker ever! Billy is a lucky man to have married Dawn.

Sometimes the writing in our soaps really annoys me. It was ridiculous to see Alex handing over money in what looked like a drug deal while two neighbours were nearby. Why wouldn't they have done that inside the car? Ah, because it fits the story and is lazy writing.
To make matters worse, Alex meets her again and this time he's kissing her telling her they need to be more careful, yet all done outside the car where anyone can see them. Again, if they were going to be more cautious, they would have been in a more remote place and stayed in the car.

I see Thomas King has been recast and will be returning. I'm looking forward to that I always loved the King family. Must give top marks to Emmerdale for the all male episode dealing with mental health. Cain has become such a wonderful character as he has matured over the years. He was brilliant with Paddy in this episode Jeff Hordley is without question one of the very finest actors in the world of soap.

I enjoyed that tonight, plenty of light and shade. I like a drunk fun Cain, played so well by Geoff, without over egging the pudding. Mixed emotions for Chas with Paddy leaving. I think we can safely say Paddy and Bear will be back at the Woolie within days. And finally Mack looked mighty lovely in that Kilt, I wonder if he wore it the Scottish traditional way? Emmerdale soap of the night.
P.S just wanted to rewind to Wednesday episode and I thought Nicola was her amazing bitchy self in the Cafe, wonderful stuff, delivered to perfection by the actress also called Nicola.

If I may, I echo that.
In short order, Chas has experienced three significant losses being Faith, Al and Paddy.
Paint her as the scarlet woman but the axiom stands.
Liam, Bear and Paddy now all shacked up together... with Mandy taking a liberty with the good doctor's best bottle of Chateau De Plonk... what could possibly go wrong?

I really like Liam, he appears to be a nice kind and thoughtful guy. Those character traits or often mistaken as a weakness I've noticed.
Bear and Mandy are exploiting Paddy's situation to benefit themselves. Makes a mockery of their sympathy and worries over Paddy.

I think the character of Bear has really improved throughout the affair reveal and Paddy's depression.

Who is going to find out about Chloe and Mack next? Samson is a real delight I don't think.
So Charity knows about Samson. I quite enjoyed that episode not a lot happened but it was an easy watch for 22 minutes without anything harrowing happening unlike it's big sister over the Pennines.

I don’t like Naomi, so I’m loving the fact Alex is using her and I’m looking forward to seeing it play out.
One thing that doesn’t make sense, but it could be that I misremembered it. I thought Will & Kim had payed Alex off never to return to the village but as I say that could be wrong. I know they locked him up and Will gave him a bartering.
