Just because Dallas and the other 3 big 80s primetime soaps are so heavily featured by others, I will do the opposite. My lists will feature very few duos from them. Well, not only because of others lists, my deep love for other series have something to do with it as well.

I'm surprised no one has voted for Jock & JR. There was often that fascinating conflict of loyalty and deceit in their scenes i.e. they were on the same wavelength and at the same time they weren't.
JR's scenes with other Dallas characters was usually kinda straightforward - but not less entertaining - but in his scenes with Jock you could watch him simultaneously scheme and sweat.
Then there's also the conflict from the viewer's point of view since it was Jock who had helped to create this monster.

Those three actors are very talented. Miss Ellie and Ray did have some wonderful scenes together.
The shoebox scene between Miss Ellie and Cliff may be the best scenes of the post Pam years. All that history behind it.
It also makes me think of Miss Ellie's feelings about Cliff. He was the Ewings most persistent enemy, and he was Digger's son. Barbara Bel Geddes was able to convey the complexity of that situation very well, imho.
As for Karen Mckenzie and Richard Avery, I can't believe I forgot about them! That friendship was pure Knots Landing gold I'm so glad you mentioned them.

Miss Ellie and Ray did have some wonderful scenes together.

I loved all their scenes, especially in the wake of the fourth son reveal. There was a real intensity there and you could really feel the tension while at the same time rooting for them to have a breakthrough.

As for Karen Mckenzie and Richard Avery, I can't believe I forgot about them! That friendship was pure Knots Landing gold I'm so glad you mentioned them.

Oh, thanks. They had some great scenes. One of my favourites was Richard serving a cuisine breakfast to Karen as she held vigil in the hospital.

It was so refreshing to see a platonic opposite sex friendship, and I also liked that it was strained at times and each could get frustrated by the other's flaws.
