The thumbnails used for some characters, Lance and Maggie particularly, fluctuate every few episodes.

If you mean the multi-picture combo card from the first version of the season 2 main title, NO, they do not. They stay the same until they are replaced by the location footage.

Or do "thumbnails" refer to something unofficial added by your streaming provider?

I'm afraid the scriptwriting in this show is nowhere near as tight as Dallas and KL.
Take this business with The Globe shares, the split in equity from Douglas was 50% to Richard, and 25% to Julia and Emma. So where are all these other shares coming from that Angela is buying up?
The thing to remember is that Falcon Crest is highly plot-driven, which leads to several inconsistencies throughout the series. This is especially evident in Lance's character, as his personality fluctuates and his motives shift frequently, especially in season 1-3.

The way they've shoehorned Chase's expert medical doctor cousin in Season 3 episode 1 is truly laughable

Most of my posts are complaints, too.

Except about the people --- I just love all the people...

Not to mention the complete 180 they did on Julia's character in season 3, she turned nuttier than Emma used to be

I still say it's all brain tumors -- Maggie's, Emma's, Julia's. From all that nuclear waste Jacqueline buried under the vineyards some 30 years earlier.

But it's just a theory.

I don't understand how Jacqueline could evict Richard out of his own house and bequeth it to Michael in her will??

Because the McKay property was bought with funds from Whitewood Industries (Jacqueline's company, which was the leading company of the cartel) and not personally by Richard. I think she even referenced that fact in her will.

I'm half way through season 4 now and quite enjoying it at the moment. One thing I can't quite understand is why Angela hates The Gioberti's, when she was one at birth?

She doesn't hat the Giobertis per se. She hates Chase because, from her perspective, he's an intruder. When she fights him, his family is just collateral damage to her.

Wasn't it the same way on O-R ABC Dynasty, when it came to Alexis vs. Blake?
