I loved this look and her outfit, I took this pic to my hairdresser as a teen and said make me look like Pam Ewing - (if only) You know what?? My hair wasnt a bad attempt and my schoolfriends on Mon said You have had a Pam ewing cut, I was in 7th heaven!!
Back story: There was no make up artist, hair stylist or clothing stylist. I did it all & the dress cost less than $99.00 dollars.
But I got to present at the 31st Primetime Emmys for the first time in 1979.
Is it bad that I kept the Emmy?

Me too! I remember the copy I watched too was about 30 minutes longer than the actual film, so when the end credits came on it totally stuck with me because I expected there to be more of a resolution but what the ending actually was was quite powerful.I remember watching that movie. For some reason her final line "I wish I was a deer" came back to haunt me a few years later when we accidentally hit a deer with our car on our way home from vacation.

So true. Nobody knows what it's like to walk in another person's shoes. So it's not nice to pass judgement.
Yes he had a drug problem. It says on Wikipedia that VP gave him an ultimatium. He had to choose between her and the drugs. Sadly he didn't choose her.
They were together around 1981. He died in 1988 at the age of 30.
