Stumbled across this article online:

What stood out was this part:

"In 2021, Twitter analytics service Bot Sentinel found that Harry and Meghan were targeted by a “brazenly coordinated” harassment campaign on the platform and that a “hate network” of just 83 accounts was responsible for 70% of the harassment aimed at them. The campaign included “racist-coded language” and had a unique potential reach of 17 million users."

It's funny because with the Blake Lively versus Baldoni campaign I noted it immediately - this wasn't natural. It was odd upvoting and odd comments that seemed written from a PR point of view. Upvotes versus downvotes were off and I was told I was being delulu.

So I wouldn't compare Harry losing his Royal PR at all to what Lively went through. I'd need more proof or at least incidents.

Also after what the papparazzis/tabloid press did to Princess Diana I totally understand why Harry wants nothing to do with them and just want to be left alone.
Hello? Are we sharing the same planet? Just like Diana, Harry uses the media when it suits his agenda. Case in point? Spare. And as for...
Harry wants nothing to do with them and just want to be left alone
If they so desire their privacy then give up the Royal titles, the Spotify and Netflix deals. Harry can request to become an American citizen and Henry Charles Albert David and Rachel Meghan can become private citizens.

Of course this won't happen. They both don't wish to become irrelevant, they want their feet in both camps. Simple.

I think your comment shows that we are not sharing the same POV for sure. I hold the papparazzi partly responsible for Princess Diana's death. If they hadn't chased her car in the Paris night on their motorcycles like they did she wouldn't have died in that car crash. :(
Yes it's true if she had only worn her seat belt she probably would have survived the crash too. (the bodyguard who wore his seatbelt survived it). Still it doesn't matter if Diana used the media when it suited her. She was a victim in my opinion and her death wouldn't have happened if it wasn't for the disgusting tabloid press and all the people who read those newspapers. Yes I have read articles about her too so I am not innocent in this either, we all have blood on our hands. But the Papparazzi more than anyone else.

As in: there's no such thing as "bad press".

And I'm pretty sure that most of the active haters will watch it because they need to report to the internet everything she says and does (and everything that's wrong with it).

Congratulations. You have been baited into creating buzz.

The Meghan being a bully story was unfounded. Buckingham Palace launched an inquiry and when they found it had no substance they quietly refused to publish the findings.
Story? You act like there's only been one. There have been several from credible sources.

Regarding the money. If I pay for a service and it's substandard, I think I have a right to be critical of the person delivering the service.

Sure you do, and if you think we need to hear you complaining about it yet again start a thread about it. This one is about Harry and Meghan, and more recently the trailer for Meghan's new show.

As for being 2-faced and manipulative I don't know the evidence behind that

And if you did you'd ignore it or find a way to excuse it.

Oh hell no! You couldn't pay me to sit through that saccharine, phony fakery. I really tried with the Harry and Meghan documentary but a few episodes in I had to bow out, it was just too nauseating.

I was thinking of people like the ones who posted the comments on youtube, not anyone here specifically.
Just think about the hunt for the real "Martha". People love to hate and share it with the whole world.

And another thing. Netflix must be aware of Meghan's dubious popularity, so to give it the title With Love, Meghan kinda looks provocative.
I think I know who the real villain in this story is.

Really? Which stories and what is the credible evidence? Answer: there aren't any.

I could turn that question on you: why do you think we need to hear you complaining about Harry and Meghan? You don't pay for them, they are private citizens and not hurting anyone so why do you feel the need to criticise them?

Charles and William siphon millions of pounds from vital cash-strapped charities and public services, William let his tenants live in mould-riddled accommodation, Andrew paid an alleged victim millions to shut her up and he's also friends with a Chinese spy but let's attack Meghan because she has a lifestyle show.

And if you did you'd ignore it or find a way to excuse it.
Present the evidence and I will respond to it. Newsflash: There isn't any, it's just stuff made up by the Royal Family to distract from their corruption, racism and dysfunction.

There is no point presenting you with anything because you have already made up your mind that anything presented it just:

made up by the Royal Family to distract from their corruption, racism and dysfunction.

As with anyone you've decided to champion, all objectivity goes out the window and their sins/crimes or anything that might suggest you've backed the wrong horse is ignored, denied, or swept under the carpet.

why do you think we need to hear you complaining about Harry and Meghan?

You don't need to hear it, but if you come to a thread about Harry and Meghan you can expect to hear opinions on them. Whereas if you were to start a thread about the royal family and your taxes I'd know to give it a wide birth cause I've heard it all countless times before.

why do you feel the need to criticise them?

Cause she gets on my nerves. I actually don't really mind Harry. I feel sorry for him more than anything.

For the record, I am no fan of the Royal family either. In fact, I think the institution at it's core is more evil than even you give it credit for.

In his autobiography, Spare, Harry refuted the allegations of Meghan being a bully. He said after he and his wife returned from a tour of Australia, Buckingham Palace were concerned about how popular they were out there and were afraid they might overshadow William and Kate and that's when the negative briefing started. The story about Meghan making Kate cry was a lie and in fact it was Kate who made Meghan cry. Meghan sent emails early in the morning because she got up early to chat with friends in the USA to accommodate the time difference, she never expected palace staff to reply to her emails immediately. They also accused her of driving one of their assistants to quit when in fact that assistant was asked to resign by Palace human resources after they were showed evidence the assistant was using her association with the Sussexes to get freebies. In Harry's court case against News International it was proven that Kensington Palace was colluding with the newspapers to plant negative stories about Harry and Meghan. These are the facts in contrast to the regurgitation of unfounded rumours in the newspapers.

As the source of many of the negative stories about Harry and Meghan is Kensington Palace, it is difficult to discuss the Sussexes without also discussing Kate and William and the wider Royal family.

OK. All of this is Harry and Meghan's version of events though, not necessarily facts. Recollections may vary, as the saying goes.

In Harry's court case against News International it was proven that Kensington Palace was colluding with the newspapers to plant negative stories about Harry and Meghan.

This doesn't surprise me in the slightest. That still doesn't mean that every negative story about Meghan is automatically untrue.

Anyway, regardless of what the media says about her I can tell everything I need to know about Meghan from her Oprah interview. Who she is, and how she operates. Which in turn makes a lot of the stories in the papers rather easy to believe.

I'm sure they will except in my case I cancelled my subscription last year and have no thoughts on returning. One the main factors was the zillion dollars they paid that dynamic duo and then Netflix thought they could recoup those costs by increasing my monthly fee? Goodbye. What's that old saying? Don't get mad, get even.

I was about to ask why anyone here cares about Harry and Meghan or the whole family. Then I remembered I am on a soap-heavy forum. Except for them being a living, breathing soap opera, I can't think of any REAL function they serve. It does seem odd to me that with all the financial problems people in the UK have that there is not more of an outcry to stop paying them just to be figureheads. Maybe there's something I don't get here.

The thing that annoys me with this is the lack of accountability for Harry - people act as if he's this widdle boy torn astray by a vixen and it's just like... bitch please.

He knows what he's doing. He might sink if you throw him in a lake, but he absolutely loathes his brother - that much is clear by his book "Spare".

Also, I'm not sure why anyone has time for him considering the amount of time he spent throwing Kate under the bus and then wondering why William hates him. Gee I wonder why?

Their Oxygen supply is draining as they will have no new stories about the Royal family to sell, so that means less

I would say that the drunk driver who got behind the wheel of the Mercedes that night is responsible "more than anyone else". And the bodyguard/others who didn't stop him, and the mother of two young boys who made the irresponsible fatal decision that avoiding having her picture taken was more important than getting home safely to her boys. That's not on the paparazzi.

You know I've never believed that argument. There is security footage showing those involved prior to leaving the Hotel. Henri Paul appears quite alert, engaged in conversation with Diana, Dodi and others. His stature and hands movements in front of Diana and Dodi suggests he is attentive...not drunk. But...everyone has a theory on that horrible night.
