yes it does actually. and i'm a super mod on a website and i call tell you from what i've been told from people who decided to use it, it's easier to use and navigate and plus it's i think easier on the server as well if my memory is correct. so the site shouldn't go down quite as often as it used to. on my site i mod at we recently had issues where it had to be fixed and it was down for some time but it didn't crash so stuff like that will sometimes happen. our site is also private as well, in short i've never heard anyone say a bad thing about like i heard many complain about Vbulletin or however the hell ya spell it?

where that's always got issues it seems like, no joke you kind of lose track on how much your server crashes, and not all the time do you lose all your data in this case i think everything even the backups prolly crashed as well. no doubt they have since done more back ups as well on here, and i lost track how many times we changed servers as well. not so with our medication Xenefro. lol i've been using it for the past 2 years on another site that like i posted somewhere on here for the past 2 years so i'm used to it now. i dunno what i like better now but it makes the servers run a LOT smoother and easier than the old program. and this comes from a guy who don't know jack about computers i just have heard all this many times so i remember it all. no doubt if i got some stuff wrong i will be corrected and i'm fine with that as well.

It's a shame the old forum was lost. Over fifteen years worth of content gone in an instant.

There are members who were active up until the crash that have yet to register again. I hope this doesn't keep them from coming back. The data loss is disappointing, but I'd rather see the forum rebuilt from scratch than to not have it at all.

I used to go by Sid Fairgate, by the way.

It's really hard to digest and just when I think I'm ready to accept the loss I remember something else that we had and lost.

Yes, the loss is terrible, but it's the community - the people that made it happen that really matter and if we have to start all over again, then so be it.

In a strange kinda way, I find myself enjoying the recent Dallas chats and that's something I never thought would happen. We get a chance to start many things all over again.

It's great to see you Sid, all these new names start to mean something again :D

Yes, I feel the same way. I often used to scroll through the archives for nostalgia purposes, and it's a shame so many great discussions are now gone. :(

I couldn't have said it better.

Yes, and that can be interesting in its own right.

It's nice to see you too Ome. Yes, I see others have used this as an opportunity to create a new screen name. My first and middle initials are BD, so it was a no brainer for me! :D

Your doing a bang up job Ome getting us back to where we were!

While I'm very grateful for the thanks :D, I just want to point out that the mod team have been working away to rebuild the forums in the best way we can. They've been checking and communicating with some members who haven't returned as yet.

They've been searching for any data that they can find, so it's quite the team work. I know Ms.Paige wouldn't single me out, and she was replying to another thread, however I just wanted to take the opportunity to say that it's been a team effort.

Thanks again for everyone's patience, this wouldn't be the same place without its members and there's a huge thanks from the mod team for all those who have continued to keep the forums active.
