People who forbid muppet pigs to audition for such roles as "Wonder Woman"...So unfair.

One of the local TV stations has a slogan for their newscasts: "We've Got You Covered". They repeat it incessantly. It drives me absolutely up the wall because it is a grammatical nightmare. You expect me to trust your news reporting when you can't even choose a proper slogan? I could get behind "We Have You Covered" or ideally "We Have It Covered," or even "We Got It Covered" (though that's not really proper English, either). But "We've Got You Covered" is saying "We Have Got" which is terrible. Maybe they feel that using improper grammar endears them to the audience? In that case, just call it "Eyeball News at 10" or something equally off-the-wall.

You think that's off-the-wall-- try 10 Connects News on WTSP Channel 10 (CBS station of Tampa Bay/St. Petersburg, FL) from 2008-2010; what kind of title was that?!

Things get slow here in the summer. We have tons of people come here in the fall and winter--vacationers, snowbirds, etc.--but the snowbirds head back north in the spring and the only folks left behind are us year-round residents. Right now it's downright boring. And yet I feel guilty about a "rant" because the alternative is so much more rant-worthy.

While they're here, traffic is terrible. Parking is impossible. The packed restaurants/stores are clogged with people who seem not to want to do anything but waste their time (and ours) standing around in the aisles. I can't stand how rude/obnoxious these people can be in public settings, barging into people's personal spaces and arguing over stupid stuff. It gets more and more tense as we get closer to 'departure time' (they typically leave around Easter), so when they do, we're all relieved. It's as if they feel entitled to be rude and pushy because they don't live here full-time and don't have to make friends. So while I really ought to rant about how awful "the season" is for the rest of us, perhaps I should rant about the "feast or famine" nature of life in South Florida. It's either too busy, too rude, too...much, or it's totally dead and boring. It would be so much better if we could hit some sort of happy medium.

That's partly why it's a stressful experience for my mother and I to shop for groceries at the Wal-Mart in Simpsonville at or after the top of every month; fortunately, it's at most a once-a-month thing.

Netflix is going to cancel (!) the reviews-feature because no-one uses it anymore.

But what about me? I need to let them know what I like and why so they can buy or produce the right series for me.
My God, I thought we were a family!

"We told you about this double-murder first on Eyewitness News". Well, there's a feather in your caps, news team. A real badge of honor. Shame on you!

When people claim that they love Dallas, Knots Landing,Dynasty, Falcon Crest and The Colbys but when I pull out a picture of Peter White, they don’t know who he is.

Nicholas Pryor has done *everything* except for Knots Landing (or maybe IMDB overlooked his credit)

He doesn't look like a "romantic lead" so he often plays the doctor, lawyer, uncle, ex-husband etc

I absolutely hate it when people tell me to "enjoy your meal" because
a) it's none of their business what I enjoy
b) it forces me to reply and I don't want to talk about food or the process of consuming food while I'm eating

Of course it's not the same as someone saying "I baked this cake for you, I hope you like it".
In that case it's nice and honest and it makes sense. I mean, it would be very strange if someone would hold a cake under my nose without any explanation. That would be bizarre, freaky or even frightening.

Advice that is not helpful like "Don't overcook your food" without any details of how it should be cooked, or "Drive to the conditions". This usually seems to come during rainy weather, so I take it they mean slow down, but if so, why don't they just say that?

That's right-- just be straight up; don't obfuscate and confuse!

The weather is bad so we're told "Stay safe out there!" Good thing you spoke up. I was about to be reckless.

When in a store and I try to move around carefree, but all dumbasses around can't tell when I plan to go left or right, so the choose the same way I do instead of looking at my face for my obvious signals. So I have to alter my path to suit them.

And ads for liquor or bookmakers that end with "Drink responsibly" or Gamble responsibly" as if that solves all the problems, because being "responsible" is just something that slipped my mind.

When a TV series gets cancelled and ends with lots of cliffhangers that will never be resolved.
