There are hidden/subtle scenes of sexuality in this scene especially with the revealing clothing Mandy is wearing.
The first one is right around the 23-25 second mark when Mandy opens the door. You notice J.R. is lustfully looking down at Mandy and her short shorts/ass. He is thinking about how he is going to make his next move on her. Then he instantly enters her apartment and takes another long glance at her at around the 36 second mark. He is having nothing but strong sexual thoughts of Mandy, and his desire for her is at an all-time high. He even tells her that he knows she "cares" for him to try to soften her stance. She turns around and he goes up to her at the 50 second mark and even glances at her revealing cleavage from her blouse. At first she tries to hold him off, but he refuses to be denied and starts kissing Mandy hungrily as he pushes her toward him. Mandy "gives in" and J.R. tells her that he "hasn't felt like this in years." That should be a dead give away that he has never been sexually aroused like the way he is at that moment. It is pretty evident especially when he goes back to kissing her and the way he is passionately kissing her. Then he starts hugging and neck kissing Mandy while saying "mmmmm, oh yeah, mmm" with such arousal. Mandy is gasping and giving orgasmic facial expressions of enjoyment during this time. J.R. then starts undressing Mandy by stripping down one side of her blue tanktop showing that he is ready to take Mandy straight to bed. J.R. goes back to kissing Mandy and enjoying himself, but then she pulls away and stops him from going any further. J.R. is sexually deflated/flustered asking why can't they keep going. He is beyond crushed. He even says "Don't you see we are starving for each other." That is a hidden sexual innuendo basically meaning they are sexually aroused or sexually lusting/horny for one another. Mandy basically tells him that she will not have sex with him until he ends things with Sue Ellen. JR didn't score with Mandy that day, and that didn't sit well with him. This would have been a graphic scene had this been an HBO show.
