Sorry, but for someone who's always enjoyed movies and TV shows with women in positions of power, I had to turn this off.

It has more to do with tone than anything else.

Well, i'm glad that "The Orville" came around just in time. That's all the "Star Trek" on TV i need. :D
The producers of Discovery should really ask Seth MacFarlane for advise, he knows how to make proper Trek TV-Shows! I think he is a true Trekker through and through.
Last Orville-episode with the baby gender issue was such a gem, it covered all that Star Trek really is (or should be) about. :kiss:
Gene Roddenberry would be proud of Seth!

I've finally watched Discovery season 3 and I have to say I didn't mind it.
A starship flung into the far future is not a bad premise. If only they'd started in the post-Nemesis 24th century and avoided all the prequel drek.
