I like that I know it's going to end with season 5. I hate the nervousness in spring when shows either get cancelled or renewed. With a set number of seasons, the writers have their timeline and the series won't risk getting cancelled right after a huge to-be-continued cliffhanger.

I didn't mean that they shouldn't do it that way, but they don't have to inform the audience when it's going to end.
Maybe these kind of continuing dramas - definite or indefinite - need a little nervousness to make it extra addictive.
I really wish I didn't know that OZARK's 4th season is going to be its last season. Somehow it makes it all less "urgent".

If the ratings are still high and all the main actors are willing to continue, I'm sure the producers would be persuaded to make a sixth season if they were offered enough money.

I'm not so sure. The hit series This Is Us is on it's last season because it was decided long ago that it would have a set number of seasons. I think more and more producers and writers want to go that route and have a very clear plan from start to finish. Especially if they have that option and privilege of deciding themselves.

I feel the opposite. I am more keen on watching the last season if I know this is it. Otherwise, I can just save the season for later. Knowing it's the end, I need to watch it ASAP to not risk reading spoilers of the end. I watched the last season of Game of Thrones on a live stream just so I wouldn't accidentally see or hear any episode spoilers.

Is it me or have the most recent 2 episodes (season 3 episodes 6 and 7) been disappointing and feel very much like filler rather than moving the storyline on significantly? Up to and including episode 5 the drama has been gripping and has been moving at a relentless pace so I guess it had to slow down at some point.

I really loved the latest episode with Ken's birthday and the sibling relationships and where they're at personally. They all want to be happy, but can't manage it. Tom wants to celebrate, but Shiv couldn't care less. Shiv wants to prove herself but never gets a chance. Roman wants to succeed so many his sexual problems can go away. Connor wants to be taken serious but no respects him. Kendall wants to be king, but is only happy being with his family who he's pushed away in order to be king.

I think the writing is simply amazing and the cast as well. I feel so much watching this series.

I still think even an average episode of Succession (which in my view describes the last 2 episodes) is significantly better that the best episodes of many contemporary TV dramas.

Indeed. I get all the praise it gets but wonder why more aren't watching it. This is THE series to watch with Game of Thrones having ended.

Of course Roman / Gerri had to be revealed in the most embarrassing/pillow-in-the-face way possible.

Terrific episode, once again. The trash talking of Greg the egg and the d-pic fiasco brought the humor. Added with plenty of dark Shakespearian scenes like Shiv telling Tom she doesn't love him as kinky sex talk. I honestly think she was serious about that. She wants an open marriage and wasn't bothered about Tom going to jail. He is the safe and dependable choice. Kendall & Logan meeting for dinner was intense. He had made sure the food was matching Logan's new diet, but Logan used his grandson as a poison tester. I really think Kendall would break if Logan died, like he said. He hates what Logan represents, but loves him dearly. He tried to be like Logan, a killer, but he ended up alone and depressed. But Logan refused to let Kendall go. Kendall is his favorite dog to kick. He could have let Ken go, be rid of him forever, but no. He wants Ken in his life, but he also needs him to be a broken puppy dog who does whatever dad tells him to.

I also loved Caroline's interaction with her kids. Too funny that Shiv didn't want kids - until her mom told her it's good that she doesn't want kids since she'd be a bad mother. Caroline is a very interesting character. I wish to see more of her.

And the million dollar question: what will become of Kendall? Is he suicidal? He appears to have stopped caring and gone back to being an empty shell. I'm worried.

I don't want to think about it too hard because it's such delicious drama, but how on earth could Logan and Caroline re-negotiate their divorce agreement and take away the kids power? They're all adults and they've been divorced for quite a while now?

Post-divorce modification? If one of them still pays the other after years divorced, I'm sure you can change that if both agree.

The thing with the inheritance is that parents can change it at any time they want before it's actually handed over. Informal verbal promises means nothing.

I'd usually agree with Logan. Spoiled kids shouldn't demand to get everything from their parents. But in this case, we have two incredibly bad parents. The mother dumped them. The father wasn't there for them unless they did good in his company. They sacrificed everything to be the successors, so they deserve it. At least Kendall and Shiv.

But then again... Tom betraying Shiv by revealing to Logan what his kids were up to was very deserving. She's treated him horrible with demanding an open marriage, not caring that he risked jail and then outright telling him that she doesn't love him as sexy talk.

Roman is probably the kid who loves Logan most. After almost backing out, he backed Ken & Shiv, but you can tell it was difficult for him. His look when he realized Logan had blocked them....

Kendall was suicidal and told his sibs how he "murdered" that waiter. It was really nice to see Shiv & Roman cheer him up. Who hasn't killed a kid?! They brought him back, even if it was only for a short time before Logan, Caroline & Tom etc etc brought them down.

Super excited to see what Ken, Shiv & Rome will do next!!!!

I loved how the Roy siblings thought they had the upper had to control matters only for Logan to be one step ahead of them. Now they have shown their hand will Logan trust any of them again? I almost feel sorry for Roman as he was the only one who wasn't 100% behind the coup and initially wanted to remain loyal to his dad but now his position is weakened along with Shiv and Ken. Will this leave an opening for Connor to become the favoured child although he probably doesn't have the drive to take advantage of his position.

Roll on season 4!

Logan could always be producing child 5 with his secretary.

I'd say Connor could become his favourite child, but only temporary and completely by default. But then again, I don't think Ken, Shiv & Roman have disregarded him for spite. I think Logan is responsible for all the dismissal of Connor. At the beginning of the show, we were told Kendall had been groomed since childhood by Logan to one day take over. Not Connor.

Questions I have before season 4:
1. Did Shiv fully realize that Tom stabbed her in the back?
2. Did Greg understand what Tom meant by selling his soul to the devil?
3. Is it over for Waystar Royco as a conglomerate if GoJo buys it?
4. Is Logan really ready to sell and just be a name without sole control?

I thought the scene when Connor pointed out to his siblings that he was the oldest child and shouldn't be ignored might be significant. That and the scene when Kendall told Shiv and Roman that he was responsible for killing the waiter were my favourites in that episode.

I honestly don't think Connor will ever get anything major. Willa doesn't really want to marry him, she was like "well, how bad can it be?" Connor is like that constant Cliff Barnes loser. They love him, but none will take him seriously. If Logan had ever showed any kind of interest in him, then I might think he could get a shot. However, Logan seems unaware he's got 4 kids.

I am curious why Connor is the nobody in the family (except Greg). Was Logan married to his mother? Did he want Connor or was he saddled with him? Is it because Connor has no interest in taking over the company that he no longer counts?
