It's not worse, but it still doesn't look good.
To me it's not about who's right or who's wrong, but how these messages appear in the media.

If something like this was posted on my instagram, knowing that the other person was making a show of it, I would have said: "thank you for your nice comment. Btw, have you recovered from your STD yet? Although I guess after so many times you've gotten used to it. Take care! XX"

Jason Lewis, who played Samantha's boyfriend Smith Jerrod, has shed some very interesting light on who the real problem on the set was, and surprise surprise, it was not SJP. He tried to dodge the interviewer's opening question about Condolencegate, with "If you can't say something nice, don't say anything at all." Pressed to elaborate, he said "Look, I would have to say that Sarah was always lovely and such a consummate professional, and I think people should remember their graciousness and the things that have been given to them. And I'm going to stop there because I've got nothing good to say." The interviewer pressed him further to confirm that he supports SJP, and Jason responded "I might just have to say yeah. What a graciousness lady. She was always good to me.". When asked if other co-stars had been equally gracious, he just smiled and answered "Sarah was amazing.".

I don't.claim to. As I've said before, only Sarah knows if she was being sincere, and only Cynthia knows if she was being sincere. Kim does not "know", she is making assumptions that Cynthia was being sincere and Sarah was not. Her assumptions may very well be correct, but they may very well be incorrect.

But Kim isn't making that claim. You are.
How would you like it if you became fed up with some colleague, family member or friend you'd known for decades, and whose endless manipulation and game playing and BS you'd just become exhausted by.
And then some stranger who'd never met either of you comes along and starts asserting that your experience with that colleague, family member or friend has no relevance and that they, the outsider who never met either of you, knows that you know nothing about the behavior and intentions of that colleague, family member or friend.
That's not what Kim's doing. That's what you're doing.

Well I guess it is possible to know a person or situation well enough to pass judgement on the issue. If SJP's message was supposed to be a polite gesture then maybe it would have been better to do it privately. KC could still have objected, but at least there wouldn't be the issue of public manipulation.
It would be very ironic if SJP didn't even want to post that message, but felt like she had to as it would make her look worse if she would "ignore" the tragedy in KC's life.
