In a nutshell. I believe that Trump makes himself an easier target by being so overt in his dehumanizing bullshit, but research into Hillary's past reveals she's far from a saint herself.
Now the political hack commentators like Keith Olbermann and Bill Maher are strongly condemning anyone who isn't voting for Hillary. These are people I once listened to and respected, but I just can't anymore. It's not even because they support Hillary, it's because they tell those of us who don't to "grow up" and to stop using the "false equivalence" argument. Maher was particularly critical of millennials, and said they were lazy and hadn't done their research on Hillary. Well screw you Bill Maher. I have researched her, as have other millennials, and that is precisely why we don't support her. Olbermann has tried to convince Jill Stein to drop out of the race out of fear that she will take votes away from Hillary. Has he stopped to think that progressives voting for Stein wouldn't have necessarily voted for Hillary in the first place? A vote is earned, not guaranteed.
Even Obama has got in on the act, asking men to consider whether sexism has played a role in our opposition to Hillary. Silly me. I thought elections were about voting for policy positions, not genitalia. And if anti-Hillary males are so sexist, why are so many of us eager to vote for Jill Stein? Obama's resorting to gender baiting to prop up Hillary because she was an ally in his hawkish foreign policy and surveillance program.
This is why the establishment sucks. It would almost be worth seeing Trump become president just to give a big middle finger to the political hacks in Washington that push for the status quo.
