They said a while back that this would be the week they reveal who shot Drew. And man, are they drawing it out until the very last minute! :r&r:

I have to admit - I didn't think it was Willow. I thought it was way too obvious. She had lost the most because of Drew. Her kids. And then found out he had slept with her mom, on their wedding day. While many hated Drew, Willow had the most motive.

It's almost never the case in TV series that the person with most motive is the killer. So I wrote Willow off, thinking she will naturally be the number 1 suspect. Plus, she didn't really strike me as being cold and calculating enough. More of a hysterical cryer.

But now I see the brilliance of it being Willow. She will get exonerated and probably can't be tried twice for the same crime. Instead, Michael will likely be in focus next. No alibi, Willow declared innocent, strong motive, opportunity.

All while despicable Drew sleeps with his shooter. And psychotic Willow gets her kids back.

Unless Trina & Kai saves the day.

If Trina and Kai come forward at this point, they look like unreliable witnesses even if they have information that only those at the scene would know. If Drew remembers hearing the ringtone as he laid on the floor, it might lend credence to their story. And yes, double jeopardy rules will not allow her to be tried again for the same crime, but in the real world the police could easily try her for a related offense (like all the perjury, stealing the gun, failure to render aid, etc.). PC most definitely is not the real world, though. I hope the writers still have some Friday tricks up their sleeve, though.

I'm reasonably sure Michael saw her at the scene, perhaps even saw her shoot him. That would explain his cagey behavior the past few months and why he seemed okay with forming a weak alibi. If needed, he would manipulate the police (and eventually, a jury) into reasonable doubt to keep Willow from going to jail by making himself look like a potential suspect. Despite everything, I think he still loves her and doesn't really want her to go down for a crime that could be called "a public service". Even now Michael doesn't give off a vibe of being concerned for his image being dragged through the mud because under it all he knows he didn't do it and can (when needed) use what he saw against both Willow and Drew. The look he gave Willow after his testimony can now be looked back upon as him letting her know he knows what she did.

Aside: I know it's a function of scheduling the actors and such, but after weeks of Willow having no family/supporters in the court room it was weird to have Nina sitting there acting like she's been there the whole time. She should have been, but definitely wasn't. Also, Mama Bear Carly wasn't there to support/smother Michael when he was called to testify, though I can write that off as the show's continuing effort to have Michael "grow up" and not have Carly running his life the way she used to. But she could have been there giving Willow the stink-eye from the gallery---that would have been entertaining since she used to be so pro-Willow and tried to make herself into Willow's "substitute mother" just to slight Nina.

As Laura was talking, somehow I knew that Luke would be mentioned.
I know it is soap opera land, but if Sidwell had said what he did to Laura when Luke was in Port Charles, Luke would have
made it really clear to Sidwell that ...No, No way.

Especially after Sidwell tried very hard to kill Luke's son in that Africa story.

It is noteworthy (to me, at least) that the recent/current writing is really softening Sonny up. He's mainly doing "grandpa cooking for the family" scenes rather than his "cursing and throwing barware/screaming about betrayal/waving around the huge chrome gun" scenes like we have seen historically. They say he's selling the piers to Sidwell, but he isn't acting like this is going to ruin his business (or even that it's a threat), which is....really odd. People died over much less in the past. It used to be "the business above all else," but he seems willing to let Sidwell win a few battles as he actively avoids his historical 'solution' to such problems (which is to have Jason kill Sidwell). If anything, he's acting like a sounding board for Laura, giving her advice on how to slay her own dragon rather than rushing in, guns blazing to save to poor little woman.

The subtle "break-up" of the Carly/Sonny/Jason triumvirate over the past few months (where each character has their own story and the three rarely cross paths, let alone share a story) is a welcome relief, but whereas Jason got a romance and Carly got a revenge caper, Sonny is acting like a supporting player in Laura's crusade against Sidwell!

Last we heard (in dialogue), Robert was in Australia with Holly, Sasha, and Daisy. That sounded a bit like the writers "positioning" him, placing him in his homeland so that when it comes time for him to pass on, he's where he really ought to be. It also hints that those characters will all factor in the storyline/episode. It might be easier on the budget if they have the episode/s set in Australia, with the relevant characters going there for the funeral (since it would limit the # of attendees). I keep hearing that Kimberly McCullough "has" to appear for this to work, but she has been steadfast in her refusal to return to acting. I have to wonder if they would risk a temp recast or just write up some excuse for Robin and Patrick not to attend. Neither is a pleasing option. I doubt Y&R would let Jason Thompson go over for a guest appearance as Patrick, so that's another strike against that couple. Recasting both Robin and Patrick to interact with Emma would leave me with the same bad taste in my mouth I got when Liz had that terrible short-term visit from her parents who felt like impostors.

No to a recast IMHO.

Maybe Robert and a still- here Luke team up for one last adventure off-screen and there can be a joint gathering to honor them

Isn't she the best? :love7:

Tracy is of course iconic, but I first saw how awesome she is when she played multiple-personality disorder patient Carrie Todd Marler on Guiding Light. Mild-mannered secretary by day, cold-blooded murderer by night....the GL producers had managed to lure her away from GH temporarily so they got their money's worth!
I feel like she could do just about anything.

She played a nun and sang with Elvis Presley in a movie, for cryin' out loud!

Watch out, Chase & Brook Lynn. Hurricane Willow is coming your way. I think Willow is reading too much into Chase's support and kindness. By injecting Drew with whatever it was, Willow showed today that she is even more crazy now than when she shot him. I bet she will go after Chase and try her best to break up his marriage to BLQ.

Faison is clearly not alive. Fake Obrecht visiting Anna was proof of it. And that we've heard Faison's real voice but not seen him is more proof. Sidwell and his partner are trying to break Anna so they can finish Faison's project for him.

Why did Sonny want Willow to be aquitted?! So weird. Does he really believe Michael shot Drew, and that Willow is innocent?

Willow telling poor Scout that they will spend lots of time together was creepy. Poor child! And her grandma Alexis got the crazy one aquitted.

Who helped Willow by tampering with the traffic footage? Chase says it wasn't him, and I believe him. Was it Sidwell? He didn't want his congressman Drew associated with an attempted murderer.

I think she will convince Chase to help her sneak into the Q mansion to secretly visit with the kids.
And that we've heard Faison's real voice but not seen him is more proof.
I think Anna figured that out as well---she asked if he's really Faison, then why not just come in the room and talk face to face? The longer he "hides" from her, the harder it is to believe he's there. (Note: I read someplace that Anders Hove actually did record those lines we heard today from his home in Denmark). I assume they're spiking Anna's food to help her along with the hallucinations.
Willow telling poor Scout that they will spend lots of time together was creepy.
I could see Willow using the situation with Scout to her advantage. Tell Drew or Nina or whoever asks that she is taking Scout to a movie or shopping, when in fact she's taking Scout to Alexis's and swearing Scout to secrecy. Willow can then go do all her evil tasks with a cover story, and Alexis will be torn over exposing her lies since she (Alexis) gets time with her granddaughter and it's less time Scout has to be with the evil Congressman or his would-be-murderer wife.
Who helped Willow by tampering with the traffic footage?
Brennan and Nina. Nina went to Brennan asking him to help her get Willow acquitted; he demanded her help in finding Valentin. So he had the WSB hack the PCPD computers to corrupt the file containing the footage, and Nina sort of hand-waved "okay" but hasn't done anything consequential in helping find Valentin. She spoke to Charlotte, but just as Charlotte was about to say something, Nina thought better of it and told her to keep any such information to herself and not to tell anyone, even people she trusts. So then Charlotte went and blabbed everything to Rocco.

Considering that GH created a whodunit around an average villain, and not many were interested in who the culprit was, the writers really made the most of it. It became an umbrella story, and the whole surrounding plot was more exciting than the actual mystery. At the beginning of the story, I would have considered Willow a weak resolution to be the shooter, but now I actually think it's a good twist.

Is it just me, or does Curtis never have great chemistry with any of his ladies? I never felt that Portia or any of the three Jordans were hot with Curtis. I wonder why that is.

That it was mentioned at Monica's funeral that Tracy and Monica had known each other for 45 years wasn't really surprising, even though it would mean that Ned is only 40 years old and how old would Brook Lynn be, and Gio? However, I was astonished that during Dante's testimony in court, Claudia's death, and therefore also Josslyn's birth, was mentioned with the year 2009. Therefore, Josslyn would have to be 17 years old and have skipped several years in high school to be in college now.

Yes, this is why, when discussing Claudia's murder that they only say Michael was "saving Carly and Josslyn" rather than sharing the detail that Josslyn had just been born (like, the episode before). They also have to gloss over that Dante was the one who convinced Michael to confess because it torpedoes the timeline for Gio's conception/birth as well as Emma's, even Brook Lynn's since she was also born onscreen to adult Ned and Lois around the time they now say she was "off at camp with Dante and Cody".

The only females I saw generating chemistry with Donnell Turner were generating "friendship chem"--Cynthia Watros and Genie Francis. But in both cases I think it's more the skill of those actresses than his skills as an actor. They rarely allow him time with Francis these days, and Curtis's interactions with Nina have been less friendly recently. He also gives me zero "parental vibes" with the actress playing Trina. I feel like DT keeps his job mainly because he seems like a "loyal soldier" to the producers who tries his best and causes no issues. In the hands of a more accomplished actor, the Curtis character could be a major leading man but instead he's just sort of...there. Then again maybe he saw what happens to the "leading man wannabes" who made a big splash (OG Brennan, Jagger Cates, Spencer Cassadine, etc.) and ended up being tossed out with the trash once certain other leading men began to feel threatened.

So now Willow is free of Drew for a while and can continue to fight Michael for her kids. And poor Scout is now in Willow's care. She will milk that. Too bad Alexis, Kai and Trina can't prove that Willow shot Drew. No actual evidence to blackmail her with. Kai and Trina aren't even reliable witnesses after staying silent for so long.

I find it amusing that thanks to Drew's own eye-bulging, jazz-handing, unhinged rant in court, it won't be too hard for Willow to convince the town that she had nothing to do with Drew's stroke. He was practically strokin' out in front of the whole town earlier in the week.

People keep saying she "injected Drew with a drug to induce a stroke," but my guess is she just injected an air bubble into an artery that caused the stroke. Unless someone theorizes that Nina's bottle of champagne was spiked with a drug...which would make little sense, since she brought it intending to share it with Willow (who did drink some) and Chase, two people she would not want to hurt. I think the injection angle is an homage to our old pal, Heather Webber wielding her syringe full of liquid LSD on those who stood between her and her precious Steven Lars. If Willow starts craving Bobbie's BLT's, we will have our answer.

As much as I hate over-reliance on a small circle of actors in what is supposed to be an ensemble piece, I have to admit Katelyn MacMullen is killing it as "Black Willow". I hate what they've done to Drew but Cameron Mathison has shown me he's more than just a set of abs and a can of spray tan. The New Michael---everyone seems to agree it's been a major upgrade, though I think he's getting a bit too entitled for the "hero" role. So having those three dominate the show could have gotten tiresome, but it looks like CM's taking some time off (to film a movie?) so maybe some other stories will have time to progress.

I have seen people guess on air embolism causing a stroke. But no matter what was in it, the needle should leave a puncture wound. And most likely a bruise. She stabbed him quite hard and fast. She was lucky to hit an artery like that. But it should definitely leave a very visible mark. But I can gloss it over.

It will be interesting if she will continue to act psycho now that Drew has been taken care of. Or if she feels she has completed her "mission". She will for sure play the sweet innocent woman though. And people like Nina, Liz and Chase will support her.

but it looks like CM's taking some time off (to film a movie?) so maybe some other stories will have time to progress.

Kirsten Storms (Maxie) has begun filming again and Maxie will be back on screen in mid-February. The Maxie/Nathan story will surely get focus.

I also think Faison's last project story will get more focus now that Finola Hughes (Anna) is back. And Britt will work from Wyndemere. Joss will visit Lucas over there. And Ava will do more business with Sidwell. Jordan is already there, and the new WSB guy Cullem as well.
