Yes, the "enthusiasm" with which Willow pushed that syringe into Drew's neck would leave a mark. Maybe someone will notice it and they just haven't yet. Given the pensive look that Nina gave Willow after Willow's crying jag with Liz, perhaps it will be up to her to put some things together. Lord knows Chase is a lost cause.

When Lucas came out to say "Things are not as we had hoped...." I wanted Nina to say "Oh, damn. He's going to survive this too???"

Chase is now being completely ridiculous.
He takes it upon himself to ...write outside the lines and blames Dante
for a decision made by someone else that results in his demotion?
I like the Chase character, and this is not a good way to write him

So is Chase/Willow and and Dante/Brook Lyn in the making?

PLEASE no Lulu/Nathan. Is KS coming back?

They only vaguely brought this up in yesterday's scenes, but Chase has done this before. He fell for Nelle Benson (Willow's twin sister, no less) when she lied about having murdered her boyfriend. She conned him into helping her get off the charges and he lost his detective job in the city where all that occurred (prior to his arrival in PC) when the local cops found out he had "put a thumb on the scale" so to speak. He came to Port Charles in part to apprehend Nelle as she had moved on to various crimes against Michael, Brook Lynn, Carly, and Sonny....but also because he needed to start his career over. Yes, the home viewer knows Willow is guilty and Chase doesn't, but you'd think someone (especially Brook Lynn) would point out the parallel of him putting it all on the line for two sisters at separate times, and how Nelle also appeared as the innocent victim until she no longer did.

Right before Drew had his stroke, Chase dropped by to celebrate Willow's acquittal and inappropriately brought her flowers. He brought someone else's wife flowers. It had to have been included just so we could see the hilariously pissy reaction from Drew, along with Willow purposely playing it up just to make Drew even angrier. It would have been *chef's kiss* perfect if Drew had replied, "Oh, I'll go put these in some water...." and walked out of shot, followed by the sound of an off-screen toilet flushing.

Is KS coming back?
February 12!! Kirsten is said to have returned to the set last week, and Feb. 12th is when we will see her....though I don't think she will pull a Lulu and just wake up and dash out the door. Nathan and Maxie's anniversary just passed and was ignored by the writers; memories of their wedding would be a great set-up for the viewer to get ready for her wake-up and (possible but not probable) reunion with Nathan. The 'reunion' would have to be when the story his real identity is blown open....right??:confuse:

I am hoping for the possibility that Sidwell will be defeated by one last offscreen Luke/Robert adventure,
but I doubt that it will be so.
Carlos Rota is a fine actor, but Sidwell is just not as formidable as Helena, Victor, Stefan and Cyrus IMHO
Back in the day, Luke and Robert would have defeated him without a sweat

I have a stinky feeling that GH is setting up Nathan/Lulu. They've had multiple scenes together for no real reason other than the start of something. It would be very soapy if they got together just before Maxie wakes up.

Anyone think Chase is being extra annoyed with Dante because Dante has a kid with BLQ. And Chase can't have a child with her?

A storm is on its way to PC. And it looks as if many characters either are at Wyndemere already, or is heading there. Something is bound to happen. And maybe Anna is found in the process? She can't be kidnapped forever.

Hearing about this "blizzard" about to hit reminds me of the old "disaster plots" of soaps long past: the blackout on Guiding Light, the flood on Search for Tomorrow, the tornado on All My Children, two earthquakes on Santa Barbara and Sunset Beach, and yes the MetroCourt siege on GH. They set up various characters to be trapped together or forced to work together to survive, and even occasionally killed off a few characters. I always enjoy seeing unexpected scenes between characters who rarely interact since...well, it's so rare, especially with modern production models where characters usually exist in "story bubbles".

Unfortunately they can't really mount "major" disaster plots like those mentioned above due to budget, so I'll be interested to see how they "do more with less".

Even soapier: he reveals that he is Stavros Cassadine, who has been unfrozen and plastic-surgeried to look like Nathan. He's still obsessed with Lulu and had been planning all these months to steal her away to Cassadine Island again. In their fighting, Lulu stabs Stavros and he dies for real this time. And in true soap fashion, Maxie walks in just in time to see "dead Nathan" lying at Lulu's feet. Loo-Loo....you got some 'splainin' to do!

You are more creative than the current GH writers. I would find that interesting.
Stavros was never fully developed, IMHO. Robert Kelker-Kelly should have been on the show for a longer time

I hope not. I really hate the plastic surgery storylines, so much.
Or worse, the Mission Impossible masks.
Or even worse than that, the downloading of the brain and memories and pasting them into someone else. Yeah, DAYS, whatever crap you do.

Is Cullum really not thinking things through when he presents himself as Andrew the housekeeper to Joss? He doesn't think that a woman who knows the people at Wyndemere also knows enough people that Cullum meets in town?

For a man working for WSB and secretly with Sidwell on Faison's project, you'd think Cullum would look up all central players in PC before going there. Including Brennan's girlfriend and her family. And Sonny plus his family. A man in his position as a double agent should be more suspicious and cautious. Well prepared!

Cullum might very well know who she is, to a point. If he is indeed the one who had Sonny's penthouse bombed and tried to assassinate him in California, then he knows all about Sonny and his family. She did not help by coming into the living room calling out for "Uncle Lucas," since he'd also know Sidwell's houseguest only has one niece in that age range. Cullum might not know Joss is a junior WSB agent though (if Brennan was indeed telling Joss the truth the other day). Something tells me Cullum was also at the Five Poppies Resort and saw her there....he just isn't sharing that with her yet.

I love the Cassadines and wish would we should see more of them.
I came to GH for Elizabeth Taylor and the Spencer/Cassadine feud. I loved the 80/90 eras. The 80's had this energy, those dynamics, storylines didn't drag forever, or, at least, they were moving forward. And in 90's the show had this gothic vibes with Helena, Stavros etc.
Today plots are standing still forever.
And no more Quartermaines... No more Scorpios... No more Spencers... Vets passed away or retired...
I honestly don't give a crap about those Sidwells or Brennan or Chase or Cody or Trina etc.
One of the most interesting characters is on a backseat. Give scheming Ava a storyline and bring back Spencer. A decent recast, since Nicolas Chavez won't be back.

I think the reason they initiated this snowstorm plot for a week wasn't as an homage to "disaster" plots of the past, but to re-set and redirect some of the plotlines that have gotten bogged down and gone into neutral. By forcing certain character pairings together to interact without the usual outside noise, we got plot movement in several B-plots and C-plots.
1. Tracy and Martin came to something of an understanding. They still don't get along, but after they shared some truths about one another I think (hope) the cycle of revenge plot/threat/insult/revenge plot has been disrupted. Some have called for them to fall in love, but I'd be satisfied just to have them snarking at one another.
2. Trina and Portia had a good argument. It became too much to bear, watching Trina acting as self-righteous and judgmental as Curtis about Portia's affair. It was also too much to bear watching Portia treat Trina like she's 12, not 21. Trina finally got to remind the audience that she's ridden this ride before---that Portia conceived Trina while having an extramarital affair and lied to Trina about her father for years. The two will still have a prickly relationship due to Portia's poor choices, but at least it was established that Portia doesn't have to walk on eggshells around Trina any more.
3. Lulu and Nathan are now "carrying a secret" and setting up Maxie's return in two weeks, though a simple kiss is hardly Portia-level secret-keeping. My guess is the Lulu/Nathan kiss will be quickly forgotten once Maxie asks "Who is that man and why is he pretending to be my husband?"
4. They've successfully inserted Josslyn into the "Save-Anna" plot. even if that was one awful cover story she gave Cullum as to why she is at Wyndemere.
5. Britt is finally sharing secrets with Jason, which tells me they will be the A-plot for the next month or so.
6. Just as Molly/Cody seemed to be full steam ahead, they had to create another stumbling block for them. Why? I have no idea.

I agree. Trina annoys me with her nonsense. Taggart was her father. He raised her. Portia should have been fired. I would not want to go to a hospital who employs someone who did what she did.

Yes - never any mention of Taggert.
No mention of TJ
Bring back Marshall
No hospital would rehire Portia
Unpopular opinion, but Liz, for her part in Esme/Nicholas should have been fired

It was really odd to hear Trina call him "Taggert" when referring to the man who raised her. Even Portia refers to him with his first name "Marcus". It made Trina sound like she was referring to some man she vaguely knew. But then I also hate soap characters using last names as first names in general, like (Harry) Chase.

So Portia got to keep her co-Chief of Staff position? I recall seeing her meet with Laura and Tracy* but must have missed her getting their decision. I thought at the very least she would get demoted if they kept her at all, much like Chase getting demoted to beat-cop for going rogue on the PCPD.

* I thought that was an odd set-up, since they'd never mentioned Laura being on the hospital board prior to that. Tracy has been on the board for a long time as has Michael, who was not mentioned. Monica was the Chairman of the Board when she became ill but the show never addressed who was appointed Chairman in Monica's place, or if she was still CoB when she died. It would have made more sense to have Terri (the rarely-seen Co-Chief of Staff) in the mix during that whole thing but they do a heck of a job ignoring her.

What I'd love to see: As Willow revels in torturing Drew at home, the party leaders in DC are freaking out about Drew's condition. Will he be able to return to Congress? (Obviously not). He should be gearing up to run for re-election right now. They need to run another candidate. They contact Willow, and she makes it pretty clear that they should not even count on Drew being back to finish his current term. They never liked him anyway (;)) so they urge the Governor to appoint a replacement until an election can be held in November, and if he/she works out, this person can run for re-election. A week or two later, Willow can turn on the TV to let Drew watch the news conference announcing Drew's seat will be filled by.....Ned Quartermaine, who had contacted the party leaders privately and threw his hat into the ring. It will be an excellent revenge move on Drew for the heart attack thing, and of course Tracy and Olivia would love the irony of Ned taking away Drew's precious Congressional seat.

I don't find Jason and Britt's love story as interesting as it was the first time around, up until Jason's "death." Of all the possible partners for Jason, Britt is probably the best, because it presents many problems that Jason has to solve, but something's missing this time. Britt doesn't wow me as much as she used to, but I'm still more excited about her than Nathan.

What's Willow's endgame? The scenario reminds me of Esme: back then, I also wondered how they were going to keep her on the show, and then she was actually written out. Will the same thing happen to Willow, or would it even be better that way? The only downside to Willow's exit would be Nina, who would then presumably be redundant. But is Nina even important to GH?

I think Willow is the new Heather Webber. I much prefer the Robin Mattson version, although AM did a good job
If losing Willow leads to Nina leaving - good, I never cared for Nina after Michelle Stafford departed

Nathan/Lulu - NOOOO
The DNA test seemed to verify that he is Nathan, indeed
How will this be rewritten if he is Peter August, somehow?
I don't like what they are doing to Chase - he is looking more and more foolish
Dante/Brook Lynn?
I like that Ric is being reformed, somewhat Liz should give Ric a chance
Jason/Britt - it is OK, probably the best use for both of them

By the time they paired Britt with Jason the first time, they had moved her past her "Britch" persona into "anti-heroine". Remember she "died" saving Josslyn from Heather's hook and everyone spoke of her positively---they even put her photo up on the Memorial Wall at the hospital. They brought her back acting like Britch again and the writers can't decide which version of her they want from one day to the next. They overplayed the Britchiness to the point that no one seems willing to help her other than Jason, but some see Jason as a doormat for putting up with her overbearing I can take care of myself attitude.
The only downside to Willow's exit would be Nina, who would then presumably be redundant. But is Nina even important to GH?
I agree they want her to be Heather 2.0, which might actually be an interesting angle. Like OG Heather, she can pop up to cause trouble for the regular cast (in Willow's case, any and all Quartermaines, Corinthoses, and/or the Westbourne/Reeves clan) and then be shipped off when the plot wraps. In the meantime, I can see a lot of stuff still to play for Willow, just as OG Heather was a viable (if outrageous) character for many years in her original tenure.

As for Nina, they don't use the character to their best advantage as it is. I can't help but believe that if the show were to experience a sudden budget cut, Watros, Tabyana Ali and Finola Hughes would be among actors most likely to be targeted. All three have been made into "islands" in a way. Ali is likely less expensive to keep around but hasn't been used well since Spencer died. Hughes is likely very expensive but popular; she disappears for months every year on vacation and it limits their ability to give her Lead-Actress, front-burner stories. Watros, meanwhile, is popular and (likely) expensive, but the writing doesn't allow her to be a Lead Actress the way they ought to write an expensive actress with her resume. If they're tasked with dropping one of these (or even two of them), I think Watros and Ali could be written out with the least effect on the fabric of the show, but writing out Hughes might allow them to keep the other two actresses. Of course all this could be tossed out with the stroke of a (talented) pen. I mean, who would have guessed two years ago that unassuming, quiet Katelyn MacMullen would be tearing up the scenery like she's been doing lately?
Dante/Brook Lynn?
I like that Ric is being reformed, somewhat Liz should give Ric a chance
I saw Dante and Liz having a scene the other day and my mind started racing. What about those two? They do look good together, and lord knows Liz could use some lovin'. Maybe they could play a simple triangle of Liz/Ric/Dante with Liz ultimately choosing Dante to allow Ric to reunite with Ava, a woman more his speed/style.
