I have to concur with BuzzFeed. I'm also underwhelmed. Though probably for different reasons. I hate the tone. And what's up with Cristal? Is she supposed to be a bitch? That catfight is taking place too early, the animosity is too explicit for the pilot.

It's not what I expected, but then I'm not sure what I was expecting.
Then I read this and thought, yeah, I feel the same.
I think there's far too much in the trailer, it should be shorter, much like a teaser. Still I guess the long trailer gives you a good idea of how it's going to play out.

I should have mentioned earlier, I was expecting to hear the DYNASTY theme
As well as EMPIRE which is a disappointing thought.

My heart weeps for that tender friendship between Steven and Krystle, the two sensitive, multi-dimensional souls from the original.
Allegedly, the new Blake hears a rendition of it in a promo video for his company and asks "What is this crap?"
I'm afraid the new show will be filled with the kind of soundtrack we could hear in this trailer. And that's just wrong for this show.
But, hey - it's The CW.

I'm sure you're not the only one. It just feels like same old, same old to me - pretty young oversexed people by the pool.
Exactly the kind of show many on this board - when we began discussing a next generation DYNASTY series back in 2012 when the DALLAS reboot had yet to premiere - agreed should be avoided.
This just feels like yet another The O.C. / Gossip Girl / Melrose Place mashed into one.

I really liked the final bit about Sammy jo saying cristal was the Black sheep and it's not him! So that's some intrigue. But I wanted to hear theme song!

That looks like utter shit. It makes the bad years of the old show look compelling. I cant even begin to describe how awful I think it is. That awful cheesy faux witty banter between everyone is soooo The O.C, it was cute 15 years ago. Now... No thanks. And is Crystal terminally boring, and yet a bitch too? A basic boring bitch.
So many wrong choices were made there. I cant even.... No.. NEVER. EVER. I'd rather watch season 8 on a loop forever.

I'm afraid this is even worse than TNT Dallas. At least that pilot and the trailers made it look and feel like Dallas. The Dallas pilot was quite good from what I remember. This.. Not so much. I know we've only saw the trailer but the tone is so terribly wrong.

Has everyone here seen TITANS? Aaron Spelling's very own attempt at dragging DYNASTY into the new millennium from the fall of 2000?
This is TITANS. Spelling had Melrose people do DYNASTY, The CW has The O.C. people do it.
You had Perry King with a gold-digging trophy wife Yasmine Bleeth, a semi-drunken John Barrowman who was straight on the show but could've easily been gay exchanging bitchy lines with step-mommy, a nouveau riche gauche mansion like this one, a super-cheesy dialogue getting progressively worse as the series went on... Even the cloudy outdoor wedding in the pilot looks similar.
I'm telling you, guys, this is TITANS in HD.

I agree. If they were trying to redo a Spelling show they succeeded. Only they did the wrong one, in fact they did all of the cheesy soapy cliché things in the pilot.
