The '90s youth soaps never worked for me, for some reason. Maybe it was the casting. But at least that saved me from bitching about them for 35 years.

90210 even during its peak (high school0 years was only semi-serialized. By the time it went full on soap it was past its prime.

Melrose Place was fun for seasons 2 and 3 but burned out very quickly because they increasingly went over the top to shock people.

Neither has the rewathcability factor of the 80s soaps over the long haul.
