As you say, guilty or not... Indeed, if she'd waited for MeToo, she'd have received unrelenting support, even if she shouldn't have.

I tend to believe the unflattering stories about her, as I've never cared much for her on instinct... I did, however, find her kind of funny as nuAlexis on nuDYNASTY.

The original DYNASTY aimed to be a fairy tale (stumbling often, the production profoundly disorganized -- except physically) while nuDYNASTY had no such goals, and that's probably just as well... I mean, as Nicolette Sheridan once said while dissing (outing??) her ex-husband, "Fairy tales don't always come true..."

It is interesting how the new show seemed to be even more familiar with the old show than the old show ever was with itself (or nuDALLAS was ever familiar with oldDALLAS, which it wasn't).

I just can't imagine she would have lasted as long as she did on Knots Landing if she was a problem or returned for the cameo in the reunion.

Maybe surrounded by older women who had perfected their craft was a different atmosphere for the young Nicolette. Who knows? I thought there were issues with all the women on DH.

Yes, her youth and lack of stature on KNOTS probably helped. She says Marc Cherry hit her.

Perhaps she wasn't the unabashed problem on nuDYNASTY -- but I certainly like to think she was.

She was lured into the job under false pretenses that it was going to be a prime time soap opera.
If an actor ever had a reason to complain or be difficult, this was it.

The very reason she was the de facto star of the show is the same reason she's ready for it to end and he isn't. She's intelligent enough to know its potential has always been .... limited.

Part of the reason she might be "okay" with the show ending is because of how central they made her character. She likely was the first actor there every morning and the last one to leave at night. Even the less-informed (read: non-viewer) writers often say Gillies "carries the show on her back". That might feel like a great opportunity in the first two years, but by year five any actor who wants to have a life outside of that studio would be begging for them to diversify the stories a bit and give her less screen time. I've never heard her complain (or hint that she was unhappy) about the work load, but it had to have been insane at times.

I don't know Nicollette Sheridan. I was nowhere near Eagle Rock Studios when she was there, and have no idea what went on. I do think it is worth noting that while several news sources confirmed that Sally Sheridan was ill at the time, NS was the only one to say she was "terminally ill". NS left in February of 2019, and yet Sally Sheridan is still alive and well, at least according to the research I just did with our pal Google. I'm not saying Mama Sheridan needs to die in order to confirm NS's story, but the longer Mama S lives on, the more I think she exaggerated her mother's situation to give herself a good cover story for a departure that wasn't as simple as they wanted us to believe.

Nicollette was born the day before Kennedy was killed. So I just assume she was involved.

No we didn't. We could only speculate.

But once it landed on the CW it was always going to have certain nudge-nudge wink wink sensibilities. As Gillies stated in the interview - they could've gone two ways about it; the path they took or go high camp while taking it all seriously. I think most people on this forum would've preferred the latter path, but the CW sensibilities made them go with the former.

She recognizes the tune---it's the piano version of the OG Dynasty theme--and she literally runs toward the sound of the music as her hunch is proven correct---she sees Steven seated at the piano. "Any requests?" he asks.

Yeah, how about the Dallas theme!

....and the piano-playing was indeed how Steven revealed himself to Fallon in the manor. I might have teared up a little.

I wasn't sure I actually wanted to watch this, since I'd watched an interview this man had conducted with LG a few years ago and found his interview style to be...well, frustrating. But I have to say he has upped his game. The editing style (LG in a sunny room, the men in a darkened bar) was a good choice, too. Too bad none of the other ladies made it to the taping. Someone should have teased LG about this segment being titled "Fallon and Her Men".

That was probably it exactly. But La Sheridan should get few benefits of any doubts.

In the TVLine article Josh Reims said they tossed around the idea of having some sort of "three Cristals" dream sequence. I doubt they would even considered it if they felt AB-C was an issue...

Interesting that Elizabeth thinks five seasons is enough and is ready to move on while Grant Show says he could do the show a lot longer. I would think it’d be just the opposite.

I don't think that's weird - Grant knows the value of a steady paycheck at this point in his life and spent a lot of years post-Melrose jumping from gig-to-gig. Liz went from Victorious to Sex & Drugs & Rock & Roll to Dynasty. I can see why she's probably ready to explore other options at this point since she's not hit that point in her career where she has had to worry where her next paycheck is going to come from.
