I just find the entire album a really interesting listening experience and I mean that in a positive way. It's not really an album of songs to sing along with* but I'm still really enjoying listening. The songs that I am enjoying the most keep shifting. Today my favorite was Faz Gostoso.

*But then who knows--maybe some day I'll be singing along with Faz Gostoso like it was Hung Up.

It's by far the most mental album Madonna's made
It feels more of an album than a collection of potential hits
It's not really an album of songs to sing along with
a bizarre, different, unique collection of songs

Agree and it fits in with what I was saying originally (based on the songs she had released before the full album) at how I felt she's creating music that pleases her more over trying to please the audience. For some of her listeners/fans, they'll be plenty to rejoice with this album and those looking for things of the past will likely be disappointed.

I don't always get what Madonna does, but I sure as hell have a lot of fun trying to understand it.

I haven't gotten the album yet and I am trying to figure out if I want to splurge the extra money on the deluxe album like I did with Rebel Heart or if I should settle for the regular release. But unfortunately for me the one song that I think sounds most promising after doing a quick sample of the album is Extreme Occident which is only available on the deluxe version of the album.

Madonna sure knows what she's doing trying to get people to buy the deluxe version by putting one of the potentially best songs on it.

A lot of the songs on this album seem to have a latino vibe to them in style and also some spanish lyrics. I don't quite know what to make of that right now. At the first sample I am not thrilled but that might change once I hear the album a couple of times.

Also I don't know why people are giving MDNA such a bad rep. I can easily name 5 songs on it that I absolutely love. "Girl gone wild", "I'm addicted", "Turn up the radio", "Superstar" and "Masterpiece." :ribbon:

Apart from God Control, which I absolutely adore I agree the rest of the tracks keep changing.

I love God Control. The more I listen to the album the more I love the whole thing. I've had Crazy stuck in my head for the past three days.

And this is also one of my current favourites.

I really love how her voice sounds on that one.

I don't mind MDNA and there are a number of tracks that I really love on it--Girl Gone Wild, I'm Addicted, Love Spent, Falling Free and Masterpiece. I also really enjoy Gang Bang for some reason. It's just so ridiculously over the top.

Well, the lyrics to some of her “Madame X” songs are embarrassing. Also, while her album is doing well, she is flopping in ticket sales. As I said in a previous post she is charging up to $500 a seat, but she has done that before and she has still sold out, but not anymore.

$500 a seat is a steal compared to what she charged and got for her first Australian Tour. If I remember correctly the promoters created a gold circle right up to the stage. These tickets were going for over a $1000 and were snapped up quickly by diehard Aussie fans. Pity the Girlie Show Tour didn't quite live up to expectations.

The “Erotica”/“Girlie Show” era was the only Madonna era I ever cared for. IMHO, this was the apex of her career....

Thank god for the Internet because I finally got her rare “Sex” book many years later......

This has remained my favourite song since the album came out and the video is brilliant, however, I find I want to sing "we've lost gun control" instead of "we've lost God control"

The song "Bakuta" was my least favourite on the album, but now, after watching the new video, I'm loving it so much.

Thanks for bringing this album to my attention @Ome
I did a quick google search of it since I had not heard of this album either. It seems like it's an unofficial release of songs Madonna's previously performed during her concerts. So it's some sort of live album.

Oh and I've got the Madame X album back in 2020. But for some reason I've only listened to it a few times so far. So I much prefer the style of her two previous albums Rebel Heart and MDNA to Madame X.

Yes, definitely unofficial; and if anyone is tempted, just note that some of the Amazon reviews refer to the extremely poor audio quality of the album.

It was the first Madonna album that I listened to once and forgot about.

I hadn’t thought of looking on Amazon. I spotted it on HMV and saw it was a choice of a double album or CD. The cover is different too, so that’s telling.

I checked on YT to see if any of the songs popped up on there but soon learned they were just snippets from various concerts.

I was excited at first, secretly hoping that it was all studio covered and not live. The reviews on Amazon are enough for me to forget about it
