I think it's exciting to know who's going to play Alexis, but I would have been just as happy with the other actresses mentioned here (Marcia Cross, Kelly Rutherford and yes, Tori Spelling too!)
But since Cristal is dark-haired, I guess a redhead or blonde was the best option.
Either way, good luck Nicollette! Because this Alexis really needs to save the show.

Well there's also the fact that Nicollette can actually act. And she has what? 30 years of acting experience... Twice being a key player in a hit show. She knows how the industry works, she knows how primetime soaps work. She knows how to play a bitch.
I'm getting a little head rush at the thought of her rolling bitchy dialogue off her tongue and not sounding like a brain dead cheer leader when she does it. She's gonna show 'em how it's done. I think Nicollette is the right type of actress to elevate some of the more stilted dialogue to make it work. Just like Joan did on the original show. I mean lord knows Joan spun some shit to gold as far as the scripts were concerned.
Now I'm just gonna throw this out there! Get Joan Collins in to play Nicollette's Alexis' mother.

Don't get me wrong, I find the thought to watch Nicollette as Alexis exhilarating.
But I've been optimistic for more than 6 months before the show began, when most forum members weren't .
Knowing now what NuDynasty is, I'm feeling less confident.
So I have to see it first before I can say "this is awesome!"

Actually.... I started this year with a vow to get what I want. Most things I set my heart on I got. New job, to see Celine Dion in concert. For Steps to have a career comeback and a successful well received pop album and tour. I got Dynasty back and now this.... There's just that man I need to bag and I'm all set.
