She seems like a real fun, funny person. Quite charismatic and gracious. The other three people are weird and obnoxious. Or maybe I'm just prejudiced.
But the fact that Ms. Gillies has seen the original Dynasty has given me even more hope. She seems to have an idea of what made the show (as well as the character of Fallon) popular. Its interesting that she says her own Fallon is like a combo of Alexis and Fallon, when actually, her Fallon is more like what the original Fallon could (and probably should) have been had her ambition been nurtured and allowed to grow.
The original Fallon would never have started a catfight getting physical like this one does in the trailer. Fallon, like her mother Alexis, believed that their superior pedigree and education were enough to demolish people with wit. That's what trash like that little tramp Sammy Jo and her ex-stenographer aunt would pull.

And yet, the original Fallon (ie, the one played by PSM) lost *all* of her verbal wars with Sammy Jo. That is, until their last exchange in Season 4... but even then, Sammy Jo felt oddly amateur at trying to insult Fallon's hotel. It was like the writers had to dumb down SJ's own wit so that Fallon could finally have the upper hand for a change.
And, as I recall, the original Fallon *did* get physical. In the pilot, she dunked Michael Cullhane's head under the bath-water and held him there, and I believe there were at least two other times in the first season where she slapped someone (I could be wrong; I do recall one scene where she tried to slap Andrew Laird, but he caught her arm; I vaguely recall her having another slapping scene from that season, but again, I could be wrong). And she slapped Adam once, and tried to do it a second time but again her arm was caught.
Hm, I wonder if I should bring up what happened when Jeff tried to strangle her, and how Fallon just wept and whimpered and squealed and weakly tried to free herself... when it was originally planned for her to defend herself by throwing a lamp at Jeff, and that the two get into such a brawl that the room is in quite a state when they're finished.
As for Alexis, it was she who threw the first slap in her very first catfight with Krystle. Sure, go ahead and make the argument that Krystle grabbed her arm, but that's still no excuse to slap someone - especially if that someone is the parent of the baby you killed. ^^

She dropped the gun, and it went off. It was an accident--she swore it to Blake wearing some bizarre night gown in the color of broccoli vomit. When have we known Alexis to lie?
You mentioned yourself Krystle grabbed her. Then in the lily pond fight she just shouted "you miserable bitch" and went at it. My point is that Krystle was the one who believed in starting catfights. Alexis refused to even call them that even after she was pulled into one. She called it a "contretemp."
As for Fallon, you are right that she got physical with Michael--but I certainly wouldn't call threatening to drown him a catfight.

Well neither did I. The point was, the original Fallon got physical, just like Fallon#3. And what's more, Fallon#3 isn't a recast like Fallon#2; Fallon#3 is a completely different character based off the original concept of Fallon#1. So I don't see what the problem is.

Is there any way to watch that Dynasty TCA Panel online?
A Google search for videos of it results in hundreds of thumbnails of the panel, pretending to be videos (with a play symbol on them), but NONE of them actually being videos. Huh?! I hate Google!

Say what you will about the reboot, it looks like it's going to be fun. Plus I love the little video that delves into Steven; so he's the *older* sibling this time around, huh? Eh, I guess that's not a bad change... plus the more I look at him, he starts to look like Gordon Thomson. ^^ But I like how Steven's friction with Blake is based more off money and politics rather than his sexuality this time around. It looks like Steven is going to be treated as an actual person/character this time around.

Listen, differences about the reboot aside, I want you to be well. Please run, do not walk, to have your eyes checked out.
Funny you should tell me that just after I actually did have an eye exam.
But let's see... both men have dark hair, pale complexions, arched eyebrows, lunatic eyes... I never said they looked *identical*. If anything, it's just a superficial resemblance... like what Alexis said about the girl in the photo of the rock concert in Season 5: "She bears a superficial resemblance to Fallon."
