I am confused.

Hi Presea, sorry for the confusion. A few of us were chatting about the idea of doing main characters, so anything that you voted yesterday can be written off and then start a new top ten this week with Miss Ellie.

If you are going through all of the characters, would I not be able to vote for a scene again if it contains a character I already used, but is then also part of a scene with another character that gets used in another week?

If you have a favourite scene with Miss Ellie and vote on it, there's nothing stopping you using that same scene when we do Clayton, or whoever shares the scene with Miss Ellie.

Also, will Katherine be a choice in this at all?

I think it might be a good idea to do favourite scenes from recurring characters after we finish the main characters, so there will be an opportunity to vote on Katherine during that round.

1. Ellie tears a strip off The Cartel for trying to bankrupt Ewing Oil saying the Ewings are "unbeatable".

2. Ellie's speech to the Oil Baron's Ball saying how great Jock was in her first Oil Baron's Ball since Jock's death.

3. Ellie tells JR and Bobby that she is taking down Jock's portrait at Southfork.

4. Ellie and Cliff have a heart to heart in the park over items Cliff brought along in a shoebox.

5. Ellie reminisces with Jamie and the family about "Tumbleweed" making Clayton feel uncomfortable.

6. Ellie tells Ray to get her shotgun to force a reporter off Southfork.

7. JR tries to trick Ellie into taking John Ross off the Southern Cross Ranch in a helicopter.

8. Ellie's speech to the Oil Baron's Ball after Bobby's death

9. Donna persuades Ellie to take down Jock's portrait.

10. Ellie finds Jock's things in Wes Parmalee's room.

my top 10 BBG scenes but i could give you a 100 and was hard to narrow down
could choose, Blazer, kitchen with Donna re book, patio with Donna re calling of wedding, patio with Jock when he tells her about Ray, the shotgun scene with reporte,Wes at the wedding, pam on the patio when plane crashes, with Bobby on patio re expansion of SF , with Clatyon talking about Wes / Jock, giving Sue Ellen john Ross as helicopter waiits to take them to SF, with the Cartel - we stick together - ohhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh there are so many I loved so many scenes with Donna but at the end of the day it was her lovely relationship with Pam - the daughter she didnt have with her former sweetheart Digger that draws me every time

However
here goes Dallas 's only Emmy and award winning actress for her portrayal of Miss Ellie and someone Lorimar soon found out, couldnt be replaced by Robot in a wig

1. Mastectomy - scene with Dr danvers explaining all about her surgery and her looking at self in mirror



2. mastectomy part 2 and breaking down with Jock after realising none of her clothes are going to be suitable



3.the Reckoning in court and being questioned about Jocks mental competance and readings parts of his letter out loud



4. s10 brother can you spare a child, in a park with Cliff and a shoebox of memories, they should have acted together so much more



5. s4, the Big ball and Jock Ewing was a great man speech flanked by Bobby and JR



6. S4 Acceptance and crash goes the SF china



7. s6 Eye of the Beholder - and telling Clayton the real reason she called of the wedding





8. s11 Miss Ellie finds Clayton as Amys gravesite


9. s8 Winds of Change - Miss Ellie and Pam at the Oil Barons ball and their speeches - for one Momma was back in her rightful place in Dallas and that was just wonderful to see her up on stage and back doing what she could only do, and Pam and VP never looked more beautiful, the most stunning and hottest girl on the planet by the mid 80s

2. When she sits and listens to her two Sons (and Ray) that they could not find Jock
3. When she finally acknowledges Jocks Death, smashing plates in the Fork Kitchen
4. When she announces to the Family that she intends to "break Jock's will"
5. Her amazing courage to attend the OBB after Jock died
6. Forgiving Jock when he told her about Amanda and they went to see her
7. Her "heart to heart" with Cliff Barnes
8. Her bedside vigil when Digger was passing away
9. Her amazing acting in Mastectomy Parts 1 & 2
10. Her scene with the shotgun......

Here are my top 10 Miss Ellie scenes.

1. The "I gave you up too soon. I should have held onto you a little longer." scene with JR.
2. The 'breaking the dishes' scene. Just heartbreaking!
3. "We're Ewings and we stick together". Standing up to the Cartel&co.
4. "Digger's daughter" when she welcomes Bobby & new bride Pam in the first episode.
5. The 'shotgun' scene.
6. Refusing to 'kidnap' John Ross & giving him back to Sue Ellen.
7. Shutting up Marilee Stone and Linda Bradlee with poise & charm during the whole paternity suit debacle.
8. Mastectomy (both episodes, every single scenes!!).
9. Knocking sense into Jock & JR's heads after overhearing that "a woman's place is in the bedroom not the boardroom" speech!
10. At the end of 'The Search' when the boys come back...

Don't remember enough to make a top ten

1. When she tries to persuade Pam to sell Bobby's shares of Ewing Oil to the Ewings. I thought it was very telling.
2. When Sue Ellen discovers a drunken Miss Ellie in her bedroom. Disappointment, etc.

3. The almost-kidnapping at Southern Cross. When someone says "Dallas", that's the first thing I think of (eventhough that scene took place in San Angelo)

1. The Mastectomy scenes were heartbreaking
2. The scene where Miss Ellie would not take John Ross off of Sue Ellen at the Southern Cross.
3. The kitchen scene where she finally acknowledged Jock's death
4. Cliff and Miss Ellie having a heart to heart talk.
5. The scene where Miss Ellie yelled at JR after Sue Ellen ran out drunk, and got in the car with Mickey. Miss Ellie to JR, "You destroyed her again don't you ever learn.
6. Scene where John Ross sits in Jock's chair at dinner.
7. Her scene with the shotgun
8. Miss Ellie speech at the Oil Baron's Ball after Bobby's death
9. Miss Ellie and JR visit the Cartel and Cliff to pay back the loan that almost destroys Ewing Oil.
10. JR and Jock in trouble with Miss Ellie. The episode @The New Mrs. Ewing"

1. Miss Ellie coming to terms with Jock's death and breaking all of those dishes. Whoa!
2. Miss Ellie being angry at Jock about Ray. It was just so funny how she said "You and Ray Krebbs!"
3. Miss Ellie telling JR the facts about responsible parenting after he tried to get her to help kidnap John Ross for him. If JR wanted full custody, then it's a no-brainer that he would actually have to spend some time taking care of him! Not just hand him over to mommy and daddy.
4. Miss Ellie in Mastectomy! "If I get sick, are you going to walk out on me, too!?" So powerful!
5. Miss Ellie getting rid of that stalker reporter when JR and Bobby's plane crashed. "Do you know what we do to vultures out here, Mr, Jackson!?" Lol! And really, also just for her holding it together and staying strong during the whole episode.
6. Miss Ellie confronts Wes Pharmalee when she sees him with Jock's things. The reaction was awesome.
7. Miss Ellie talking with Clayton when she ran into him in San Angelo. You could tell the romance was really going to start then!
8. Miss Ellie yelling at JR after he cheated on Sue Ellen AGAIN with Holly. "You destroyed her again!" Thank you for pointing that out!
9. Miss Ellie and Clayton talking about her fear of intimacy due to her mastectomy. Love how they talked things out!
10. Miss Ellie's scene with Digger when he brought her flowers and tried to get her to be with him instead of Jock. I always thought these two had great scenes together, and I actually would have liked to see her with Digger for a little while if he hadn't been such a drunk.

9. The scene with Christopher in the kitchen where Pam is missing and he says he misses his mommy

I didn't include it in my list, but another great Miss Ellie scene was when she told the cartel and Cliff off while JR just sat there looking sad. The cartel turned into a bunch of stuttering idiots, but Cliff was not intimidated. Still, Miss Ellie was bad ass here.
